The issue is that Bobby Slowiks play calling is awful. Run run pass basically every time even when it’s second and long, run. Hell even third and long run. We have one of the worst neutral pass rates. He is single handedly MAKING Stroud live on 3rd down, and it’s 3rd and long 99% of the time. He is putting him in positions to fail constantly. There is too much pressure and on him every set of downs and no room for error. I want Slowikn gone 2 weeks ago. 6 games with no points in the second half is horrific
@ he was yeah, but I bet those teams are thanking their lucky stars now that he pulled out of it. He’s been found out and his play calling is too rigid and one dimensional. No adjustments. When do you ever hear around audible at the line? They are telling him this is the play and taking the power out of his hands to do anything about what he reads. Stroud is also being far too apprehensive with his throws too, not stepping in to them like last year. That second pick should have been a laser to Dell but instead he kind of panics and airs it out to him. I dunno man. As a Texans fan I’m concerned because Stroud is a quality player but if slowik carries on like this and the oline coach and him don’t sort out some blocking issues they could really knock the confidence out of him or worse get him hurt
Nobody with more than a single functioning brain cell saw this Texans team as a 'contender' for anything. It is not a complete team, and we're seeing that in real time as 4 of their 5 OLine starters are not fit for purpose. Three of whom would struggle to make it on many NFL practice squads. Until that is rectified (along with having zero TEs) they will continue to struggle on offence. PS - Tank Dell got injured whilst freelancing a blocking assignment on the goal line. He said as much in later interviews. He wasn't meant to be in there with the big boys.

Yeah you guys just need some sort of change, legit any. Cuz you have the talent (minus interior OL), but just can’t get it going
