Such a shame they never continued this show! It holds a special place in my heart because it was the last show I saw on Jetix before it disappeared. Love it!
At least it ended on a satisfying note, so it wasn't a complete loss.

Edit: Looking back now, I’m starting to think that Marina is actually a little brown bat. I know that she was an eastern red bat in the books, but here, her ears appear to be too triangular for her to be a red bat. Some little brown bats have a coloration similar to red bats.
To specify on what subspecies of grey wolf/timberwolf Luger and his pack is, they’re northwestern wolves/Mackenzie Valley wolves, one of the largest subspecies of grey wolves.
All Star Pterosaur when you have the species confirmation, are you sure that the other owls aside from Brutus and Orestes weren’t Barn owls as opposed to Barred owls? Barred owls kinda have stripes on their body. These owls look like barn owls in terms of coloration and facial disk
1. The owls in this series (other than General Brutus, Orestes, and Atlas) seem too heavily built to be barn owls.
2.. Although barn owls are found on all of Earth's continents (except Antarctica) and have a wide habitat tolerance, they aren’t found this north (Silverwing takes place in Canada's boreal forests, where it’s almost Arctic cold during winter) and aren’t necessarily found in boreal forests. Barred owls, on the other hand, can be occasionally be found in Canada’s boreal forests. Maybe these are leucistic barred owls?
OMG. I've just found that they are making a Silverwing Graphic Novel. NOT JOKING. 😃 It's coming on September 19th, 2023.

Oh man I loved this series as a kid and watching it again now after all these years just brings back so many good memories and I'm so grateful to you for allowing me and others who have watched the series on your channel to relive these moments. I do wish they would continue it. If I had the money and resources to continue this show I would not think twice about it!!! It's a great show that got very little time to shine and deserved so much better. The story is great, the characters are fun and interesting to watch the villains were great!! There are so many good things about this show that it baffles me it isn't as recognized as the other shows from that timeframe. I hope and pray that some amazing soul out there goes the extra mile to attempt to continue this series and if they do i wish them the best of luck in doing so. Yet again I'd like to thank you one last time for allowing me to relive my childhood through one of my all-time favorite shows.

The whole fight scene between the bears and the wolves goes pretty hard.

This show was honestly very lackluster compared to the book series in my opinion. I can appreciate it trying to take the story in a different direction, but a lot of the charm, character nuances and development and the darker themes of the books got lost in translation here.
It's also very tonally inconsistent. We have scenes where Goth murders a bunch of bats and steals their bands and in a later episode have him crying "I'm a naughty bat" over and over. The books had their humorous and light-hearted moments as well,(mainly through the dialogue and banter Shade and Marina have) but they never diminished how big of a threat Goth was. And he would NEVER side with anything that wasn't a fellow spectral bat. And even then, he was always looking for excuses to eat Throb before ultimately telling himself he's still of use to him because he generally saw him as that worthless of a creature.
I can understand wanting to tone down the violence of the original books for the sake of adapting it into a children's show, but the steps they took to do so cheapen the impact those original scenes had. That goofy scene where Shade tricks Goth and Throb into eating "salads" to put them to sleep complete with a rendition of "Rock 'A' Bye Baby" playing throughout? That was actually supposed to be Shade dripping ground up versions of those leaves on a ripped open carcass of a bat and "pretending" to eat it. And even then, Throb pointed out he wasn't actually eating it, forcing Shade to take a bite of bat flesh and quickly swallowing it. Feeling disgusted and ashamed of himself for partaking in something that he sees as absolutely evil. It showed how far Shade had to go in order for him and Marina to escape these giant cannibal bats.
It also doesn't help that the animation ranges from average at best to outright terrible at worst which takes away from whatever tension or emotion the show might have had. The shoestring budget and the forced 3D elements give the show a very cheap and shoddily put together feel.
It's honestly a shame, I would love to see a proper animated adaptation to the Silverwing books one day.
Still, I appreciate that this series is archived. I think it's important for most forms of media to be preserved so that we can learn from the past.
Apologies to those who did enjoy this show. This is just my opinion.

I’ve noticed several errors involving the bears. There are five bears not including Ursa, but when the fighting begins, we see only four of those black bear soldiers. Then, when the wolves retreat, we see Ursa with three black bears of the original five soldiers, then when Brutus is granting the bats rights to fly by day, Ursa is with four black bears. What happened to the other bear that suddenly vanished? And don’t say that he died because I counted them too and if they died, there would be a few bodies on that battlefield. Plus, none of the wolves died either, so why would they show one of the bears dying either?

This was a pretty good series needs to be continued also Goth and Throbb where some seriously OP villains really freaking tough
J Double C they were going to create a second season, but for reasons unknown, it quietly got shelved. Probably because wasn’t as successful as some of Teletoon’s other shows, which is stupid because this is a good Teletoon show

Now that we have Netflix, CMore and all, it'd be easy to make it for example a Netflix original series, just like they did with Voltron.
I heard somewhere Kenneth was never too pleased with this particular adaptation, but there's a new chance for a new animation adaptation now.

I agree. The first half was canon but they went off on a huge tangent by the second half. Your first warning should’ve been Teletoon. As The Mysterious Mr Enter says, they sell a lot of garbage. This, while not garbage, does not follow the book faithfully on the whole. However, this is possibly one of a few Teletoon shows I’d call good.
Hanzo1777 they had to tone down a lot of the stuff from the books so it could pass off as a kids’ miniseries. In the books, there were on-screen deaths and references to blood not to mention blood sacrifices to a demonic bat god (i.e. Cama Zotz) in Sunwing (the second book) and Goth was also considerably more bloodthirsty in the books (he was much more likely to kill Shade when he caught him and was also far more sadistic as he -spoiler alert - outright kills Shade’s son Griffin out of spite in the Underworld) and Throb was a lot less of a comic relief but something of a tragic character as he gets frostbite, is bullied by Goth more than here due to his status as a lowly hunting partner and posible servant, and he’s burned to ashes by lightning.
