No it doesn't. The CLS is longer, has a higher wheelbase and looks more agressive in general. This CLA is just a tiny Mercedes. Not even close to the flagship cars of Mercedes.
Too bad the CLS is only 4 seats. Major put off for me as I want it to be my daily driver and also be able to take my family out in my car instead of older 7 seat Chevy SUV :

The prize differences on cars are crazy. The same model could differ 70% between countries. Goes to show how cheap these manufacturers can actually sell their cars for and still make a buck. Expensive countries are paying for most of those cheap countries.
Hey, in the UK they don’t offer the adaptive suspension only on the amgs. Is this required as some reviewers say you need it? It’s put me off buying one as UK market get no options like no 4matic (250), adaptive damping, 19 inch alloys
Blitz the c class is completely different, with a different platform and different interior, it's RWD ( with optional rear biased awd) compared to FWD ( with optional front biased awd) and thus has different driving dynamics. The main difference between the cla and the a class being the sportier look and driving , but they share the exact same engines, interiors and wheelbase.

Front light my dealer let me test drive it from a Thursday to Sunday, I didn’t have a problem nor did my wife and she suffers with a bad back, get a 48hr test drive if you can 👍🏽
@@Autoexpress I don't want to be that guy but I'm pretty sure it is a GT2RS. The GT2RS Weissach Pack has the two stripes on the roof and a black platic bumper. The GT3RS with weissach has the full carbon roof and fully painted rear bumper ;-)
AMG BOYZ yeh that's what I was thinking too! The facelift C class is a mix of old and new Mercedes... But I still love the classic looking interior with the dark wood grain etc. Will wait to see the CLA in person before I decide I think 👍
@@robertiloski2107 I litterally had to make that same decision. A 2019 Mercedes C 180 Business solution AMG Upgrade or 2019 CLA 200 business solution AMG upgrade. I have taken the cla because believe it or not the ride is softer in the CLA because even though they are both AMG upgrade, the C class comes with a stiff sport suspension and cla with lowered comfort suspension. I was shook about how stiff it was around town. And the new interior in the CLA made the car so beautifull inside. Test drive both and see what you like best.

Renault engines in every model below the 200s? Yes for many years now! As bad as Renault sounds they built great long lasting engines while mercedes optimized it to get Power out of it. Id love to have pure Merc engines in there aswell but its better then saying "sure were gonna build our own but its gonna be crappy" instead of asking for "help". But thats still the reason im never gonna buy a merc below the 220 diesels
It has the same interior as my A Class and to say the interior build quality is 2nd to none is laughable - those air vents are cheap as chips and rattle like mad as well as rattles and squeaks from the steering column and also from those ipad displays - the steering wheel buttons also do not have the quality feel of an Audi either!! On my A class the wind noise round the back of the car is almost like having a force 10 gale blowing in the back of the car with you!!
I think you need to bring your car back to the dealer, i also have the new A class and mine has none of the problems you mentioned. The steering wheel buttons might not have the quality feel of an Audi A8 but they definitely beat the A3's interior by a long way.
I don't understand why people are complaining about merc offering loads of classes. As a consumer its better to have more options.
