REALISTIC DAY IN THE LIFE struggling to get back into a routine & uh.. 1 week until the next 70.3. eeek. infact.. at this time next sunday I'll be done AHHHHHHHHH!!!! hope you enjoy this video, I'm sorry if it'n not the most exciting/ eventful day!! Hope you are all having a fab weekend and sending love your way xxxxxx please like the video if you enjoy it guys, really helps! GRACIAS 🙏
34 days until the BIG day. The Bali break was just a small step backwards, but you’re gonna make some huge leaps forwards forward in the next 34 days. A lot of progress will be made… I know this as I see the work you’re putting in. You’ve got this. Keep working hard. “Discipline is rarely enjoyable, but almost always profitable” LFG 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Hey Steph, I’m a pro runner and I take 1-2 weeks off once or twice a year, and the first week back is always a shock. After that, it comes back really quick!
Agreed! I’m not a pro runner, but I am an open water swimmer, and I also take weeks off every now and then. The first swim back always feels way better
You're doing really good! I'm pretty sure you're gonna give your best and kill it on the Ironman no matter how unsure you feel about your off-days and struggle to get back into routine. You're amazing for coming this far already because the mental challenge of your training is no joke and the hardest part of it, we're so proud of your progress and we're definetely with you in this 'till the very end so let's kill it on the Ironman!
Setbacks happen. Sometimes, no matter how much you prepare, you can’t always predict how everything’ll go. But adapting and overcoming is definitely one of your strongest attributes, Steph. You’ve got this👍.
Can i just say Steph, that the weight you will litlitry feel lift of your shoulder after the iorman is going to be crazy, I used to have that with gymnastics, the weight lifting of your shoulders is just gonna feel so good ❤ just one month left my girl and then you are your own coach, train when you want, what you want, rest when you want and have a bit more freedom again, with the amazing accomplishment of haveing done and iorman for the rest of your life ❤❤❤❤❤ You got this ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m sure Andrew can tell you in more detail but the fitness that you have “lost” in the 9-10 days off in Bali is due to reduction in plasma volume. This will come back quickly. The aerobic base and endurance you have built up are still there. The break will likely allow you to progress further than you would have without it. You got this, Steph. 💪
I've just done a deep dive into satsumas, clementines, and tangerines... Satsuma = easy to peel, usually seedless. Clementine = darker colour, tighter skin. Tangerine = more like an orange, seeds 🍊🍊 This may come in useful one day! 😄
Coming from an open water swimmer - swimming in the pool is perfectly fine. I did plenty of events with only pool training. It’s a tiny bit harder because of ocean turbulence, but nonetheless, pool training is just as effective. I also load my training upwards, then work back down about 2-4 weeks before the event. That way my body is not burnt out, but I am still able to swim properly as I would have done about 6 months of training beforehand. Don’t stress!
what does grant do for work? Love these types of casual vloggy videos like these, so please more of these!:) also, we need a new 24h food-video, how about only eating pb-recipes (so recipes with pb in them, eg pad thai) for a day?..xx
This video made me laugh your funny 😂 and I think it's amazing to get your motivation back after a hol.... Take your time and be patient with your mind and body ... Your meeting your own standards nobody elses... Ramble away girl xxx big love coming at you
Nut butter!! Also it takes 14 days to even begin to lose fitness! So although it feels foreign for your body just getting back to it after a holiday, give it a few days and you will bust the rust and be feeling like yourself again! You got this!!! XO💛
Welcome to Ironman training, where occasional days off are welcomed, but a week of sets you back nearly 2 weeks. You'll be just fine come race day. There is still plenty of time to get where you need to be. Shake it off, and swim/bike/run..
GL for the ironman and love the vids, I know it's hard but you just have the final push, remember that everything eventually passes and loving the content as always
You so got this Steph!! 🎉🎉🎉and also, Brioche bread >>>> all other bread 😋 I definitely think I need to make dessert pancakes a normal thing too! So glad you found the pb 😆 have a great week! Sending lots of love and big hugs from Hollywood 🤩🤩🤩love you lots! ❤💕💕💕💕 NUT BUTTER 🥜🥜🥜
There's a place called the farm club that does running and open water swimming you should talk to them and spend a weekend there or something you'd be able to train oh and there's yoga you'd love it right up your alley x
Hi Nutty, Just a question im doing my first ironman 70.3 next your and i need some advice for a bike, what is a good brand not to expensive but good quality? Could you help me out?
please can someone give me advice - I have my half marathon race on Sunday (first race) and I got ill with covid so went and did a 5k obvious with poor form and went too fast and now my knee hurts :( it hurts to bend it straight like it isnt clicking properly. do I try and do one more long run before my race of just rest and hope for the best on the day. do I go back to weight training (which I paused to run) or completely rest it. thanks so much for any help / suggestions 💕💕
You should be tapering back now. Doing long run isn’t going to improve your performance for Sunday. You know you can run, so trust the process. Resting up is the best thing to do for now I would say. If you get itchy, go for a swim or do some bag work but rest your legs for now. Maybe on Friday got for a light jog and run just to check your knee is ok. But if you are injured and sore on Sunday - don’t race. Injury will set you back and you can run that distance anytime ❤
thank you so much for taking your time to respond! really appreciate it - im new to running always been a gym girly. will rest up and hopefully be ok to complete it even if im super slow 💕@@iamsadieskittle
@@tashabarber I was at 9! And I got a personal best of 1.41 so I’m absolutely thrilled, still buzzing from it. Did it go ok for you? Did your legs feel ok? Sorry I missed this message, I would of loved to say hi!
Seeing people cut off half of the strawberry like that makes my strawberry heart hurt🥺 also they are already quite expensive so not only waste of yummy food but also waste of your money!🍓❤
You know how there are fondue connoisseurs who rate basically the best excuses/vessels to consume uncivilized amounts of cheese (me!) or chocolate? You should do the same with PB (with crunchy v creamy options) 14:09 I’m not gonna lie, at this point, I’m not pretending anymore: I just melt cheese 🧀 and eat unadulterated.
Oh so true that makes more sense. Girl you deserve ALL the peanut butter when doing that kind of training haha everyone’s point they usually say steph that’s enough, they need to raise it
maybe you have shared but there are sooo many videos- are you still drinking some coffee? If so, how do you make it. I know Grant got you on it- I am a sweet lover and need to stop adding so much sweetener. That crap is terrible for you

I love how you never waste food! That strawberry thing is so real. It is such an ick when they waste half the berry.

Steph I'm just saying, the fact you don't have a peanut butter brand/merch/any kind of fitness brand is just money you're throwing away!
