My best friend is married to Martijn, and she’s written a few of the new songs, I LOVE their new album!!!
I am a fan of the band. Im looking forward to seeing the new evolution of the band. I really like this song and I am looking forward to hearing the new album.
Here's the thing. First single with Diana I wasn't sold didn't like it. Then I pulled my head out of my a**. Diana isn't Charlotte. Can't be. SHOULDN'T BE! New singer, new sound. They embraced it and it works. And it's really growing on me. Great reaction!
I have just discovered the band, when the album was released 🎶 I loved it! Your reaction was very interesting especially when you drew the parallel between the moth to a flame and the mix of two music genres. That was pretty awesome. I like your style, great reaction. I get almost an 80's sort of vibe from certain parts as well as the symphonic storytelling. The overall sound is stereotypical Delain with a new twist of a very talented new member in Diana Leah.
Since Diana Leah lives in Milan Italy now, do you think there is any chance that she is also acquainted with the folks from Frozen Crown? And is there a university there with a college specializing in heavy metal music in Milan these days?
It reminds a little bit of their cover of the good old classic Scandal by Queen, that too had a nice mix of metal and something pop-ish but still pretty heavy.
Heard this song and right away pre-ordered. Saw a particular name of a guest artist on a track and whooped it up!
a hook and then metal then a hook..it works and i love it…but i’ve always loved Delain, no matter who is singing…I’ve always loved Dream Theater, no matter who is drumming or playing keys….and so on 🤘🏻

This song legit came on my UA-cam music playlist for Dynazty earlier today...I was totally thrown for a loop at first but then the guitars came in and I was like oh....no UA-cam music hasn't gone schizophrenic on me, and this song is now an instant fav for me

Dark Waters... good to know the name finally and that it's going to come out a month. I will buy a hard copy eventually but I'm still waiting for Angelina Jordan to drop her album and I'll just order them all at the same time

Aside from all that, I think that if Martjn Westerholt was smart, he would also produce/ redo then market some of these songs for the Euro Dance Trance EDM, whatever you want to call it... crowd. After hearing the piano version of The Quest in the Curse, I had that idea that you can further process it and make some really good EDM music with her and him and maybe have collaborators like Armin Van Buuren

Most songs i have heared from them before "Masters of Destiny" were always a strange mix with pop. Just listen for example to "We are the others".
I think this is the song that Diana Leah wrote and it does have EDM Dance Trance elements here and there
She wrote the lyrics, not the music - that’s still Martijn and his writing partner Guus (who he talks about in interviews). But she did an awesome job on the lyrics for sure! ❤

I don't think Delain has ever released a single I didn't like. I bought this album, but honestly, I wasn't impressed with it. I loved the songs they released as singles, but the rest were forgettable. It's been the same for all their albums. That wouldn't stop me from buying their albums or seeing them live (I saw them in 2015 or 2016 and they were fantastic), but it's just...odd. I dunno.
