Thank you. We are working on these simple exercises for my almost 93 yr. old mom. You are so right. Her confidence is low with feeling shakey or imbalanced. We will practice this safely. I will continue to help keep her mindset strong. She is experiencing lots of emotions. She is a strong fighter. A little impatient with herself at times. Thx for your help. Her birthday is less than 3 weeks away. She is trying to get stronger as a gift to herself. Thx again.

    Doug,
In response to your earlier note, my leg muscles, (mostly thighs) are much stronger. Walked up 2 consecutive flights of stairs, just slightly winded.
I spent my walking winter in big, big box stores, always doing up, down and sidewise scans. Something happened last November, sense of balance shifted, got a bit wobbly.
iPhone heart monitor calls it steadiness. Went from okay to low, to low to very low. It’s what i also call off line walking, little swerves every now and then.
Yesterday i took a walk in our local park, many soccer fields, huge amounts of space between the path and the perimeter of the park. Looking straight ahead was fine, but to the side? I almost fell over. I believe I got so used to near field references that I felt really lost. Think I better do some intermediate field walking!
Thank You for your fine educational work, surely has helped me re-enjoy my life….
