I’m also playing on mastermode to get the extra accessory slot since no npcs means no tinkerer’s work bench aka no mixing accessories. You can cheese vortex by digging a hole and shooting up, none of the enemies can attack you through blocks, the only counter to that the pillar has is it sometimes spawns portals that either spawn 3 alien hornets or a lightning bolt, if it’s spawned on background walls then it always spawns hornets which get stuck in the walls and the rest of the enemies have a lot of trouble fitting down the hole allowing you to kill them easily, and if the hole is made right under the pillar then you don’t even need to leave the hole until the pillar dies
Play with the Terraria Mod "Skill Isuue Detector" and have it activated the entire run. If you do end up doing this, I wish you luck, and I'll pay for your therapy!

The saucer beam was really for me to dodge once I figured it out. Cthulhu shield baby. Back and forth. Makes we wanna play again just to shit on the saucers
With all the pillars if you get a weapon that shoots in a straight line then you can line up shots with the map and then snipe the pillar from outside its border, much safer than fighting through a bunch of enemies
Have yet to do a full play through of master mode but this makes me just want to play it - although I don’t know all the bosses perfectly I love the challenge!
There is a far easier strategy for plantera that I have found consistently works in master mode. Make an arena like you did but break all the walls. This makes plantera only be able to grapple the outside of the arena. Do not put platforms or anything in the middle of the arena The arena needs to be about 2-3 screens long, just so you have time to shoot her. Put a teleporter on each side with a switch, not a pressure plate. Have smart click enabled to be able to right click no matter where you aim and hit the switch. Put on the obsidian shield or ankh shield to have zero knockback. Lure plantera to the arena, kill phase 1 as normal. On phase 2 go to a teleported when she gets close right click and you go to the other side of the arena. Plantera shouldn't despawn unless you made it too long. Basically the strat is to teleport between each teleporter before she reaches you changing your aim and using crystal bullets/arrows to still hit her and not her tentacles. Its not fun to watch but its super effective and zero chance at death.
Normally I play Rimworld, but someone on my channel recommended Terraria to me. Your video was fun to watch, I might actually try it out myself. Got a like from me my friend 🙂👍

good to see you back!!
The amount of skill and RNG needed for this game is crazy
Finally a new upload! So happy to hear your voice dude
Bro your upload schedule is fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
My heart just about stopped at 10:23 istg
I need Gungnir to read me bedtime stories. Love the commentary!
Not the hardest anymore. Would LOVE to see a video going for the master mode legendary seed on hardcore
Ooooh I’ve been excited for this!!!
He's a man of focus, dedicated, and HAVE SHEER FUCKING WILL!!!
With all the pillars if you get a weapon that shoots in a straight line then you can line up shots with the map and then snipe the pillar from outside its border, much safer than fighting through a bunch of enemies
Just amazing, can't wait for the 'For the Worthy' run
Brain of confusion continues to be the goat accessory in these runs let’s go
you know he's good at video games when he doesn't use chlorophyte bullet on moon lord
This makes me want to play through terraria again, what a great game.
I love the inclusion of an osogof tunnel for plantera
I can't imagine the amount of pressure fighting moon lord.
That fight had me shook man.
@@Gungnir_ Sorry for the late response, but congrats!
I'm glad you beat it
Master Mode, Hardcore, For The Worthy...good god, that is going to be hell.
If I attempted this I just know it would be ended within 10 minutes by a boulder.
This video was so entertaining that the 11 min felt like 5 mins, wish it was way longer keep it up
Have yet to do a full play through of master mode but this makes me just want to play it - although I don’t know all the bosses perfectly I love the challenge!
To chese the vortex pillar, you need a larva, that can multuply exponentionally if you give it time and kill it
i saw this in my reccomended and my day went from a 3 to a 10. Good Job!
Amazing content Gungnir! Hope all is well!
Thank you, I'm doing very well :)
There is a far easier strategy for plantera that I have found consistently works in master mode. Make an arena like you did but break all the walls. This makes plantera only be able to grapple the outside of the arena. Do not put platforms or anything in the middle of the arena
The arena needs to be about 2-3 screens long, just so you have time to shoot her.
I know how brutal this can be. Mass respect
I waited so much for this video!
Had me on the edge of my seat at moon lord, amazing video!
Thank god there isn't any baby zombies in Terraria or this would've been impossible
Mad RESPECT for the hollowed armor 🙏🙏
Gungnir: *beats terraria master mode without dying once*
Me: *beats terraria normal mode but dies over 100 times*
Normally I play Rimworld, but someone on my channel recommended Terraria to me. Your video was fun to watch, I might actually try it out myself. Got a like from me my friend 🙂👍
You should have finished the run with daytime Empress of Light after Moonlord.
Long live I-frames on the "I should have died there"
Hallowed armor triggered!
this video deserves respect
Congratz nice work dude
Im proud of you my boy. Great work
that's master mode done can't wait for someone to do mastermode fotw hardcore

I don’t even play terraria but these are pretty damn entertaining. It makes me want to start
