We were riding into the wind the whole way. Oddly enough we weren't planning to ride the whole thing. We just rode the first couple of segments and had so much fun we decided to keep going.
Hey, thank you for this footage. The different ways you showcase the terrain is great- What percentage of the eastern portion past Beverly would you say is ballast rock, spitballing? I have a touring bike with 700 x 38C tires that I’m thinking might not make it well, though I really hate to take busy highways to meet up with the Coure d’alene instead.
My estimate is that only 10% of the terrain East of Beverly is ballast rock. We deviated onto farm roads that run parallel to the trail. These roads had little to no traffic and offered a safe alternative.
They expect the Tekoa Bridge to open up in the fall of 2021. Renslow, Beverly bridges are scheduled to be completed in 2021 as well. Great footage!
The bridge at Tekoa is open! Ride across at your leisure!
Weren't you riding into the wind the whole way going east to west? Nice video.
