It really looks like she enjoys playing in the bubbles from the bubble bar. Thanks for the video.

    Just bought one
Aren’t they supposed to be fed mainly protein when young ?

I definitely feed mine more of a protein based diet but high protein levels have been know to cause she'll growth issues. I would feed a balanced diet and a variety if you can. Thanks

@ you had much growth on it? Mines tiny snout 5”

@2702simmo not much but he's definitely bigger. They are very slow growing. I'd say mines around 8 inches or so. I find mine is quite lazy and naps a lot. Way more active in dim lighting and the night time.

Are you gonna scrub the shell of the turtle?

I'm not, the algae seems to come and go and I will likely cause more stress in doing so 😄

You said the species lives to 30 years however this is far from the truth. They become sexually mature between 15 and 20 years old and can live well into there 70's. Your turtle looks to have some growth issues with its spine starting to curve abnormally. You need to offer more calcium in the diet as well as lighting you mentioned in the video. Your turtles plastron looks to have some superficial markings which might develope into infection. Do not feed your turtle 75% fruit! My lord they are mostly herbivours eating valis in the wild so offer leafy greens as the main bulk of diet with fruit and protien being a rare treat. Fruit has way to much sugar in it compared to wild fruits so your turtle will get serious liver damage. Fly rivers do get 2 feet in shell length fenales being larger than males however i have found some males to be very large which is thought to be due to being fed a higher protien diet. I would recommend doseing the tank with some tonic salts to help with shell fungus until the turtle is a bit larger

I can't find any information online referring to 70 year old turtles. Mines super happy and healthy, thanks for watching 😁👊🏼
