I found this video useful, in the way of peoples perception of asthma. There are many different types of asthma, and there are varying forms of medication for asthma. Children who are on steroids daily for the condition and have more than 2 hospital admissions for their condition should be considered 'severely asthmatic' I think if a panel is going to make judgements based on any medical grounds, whether it has been included in the statements or not, they need educating on the condition, so they don't make the mistake of relating it to the same label as everyone else in the UK. People's medical conditions vary.
I am really in a hopeless situation. I didn't get an appeal, I filled a form and the local council edited it and weakened my argument. I think the whole thing is a waste of time, the school and the council are connected and they cheat. I would love a face to face appeal, but I am sure they will do everything to prevent that, with all the bureaucracy that empowers them they could not justify refusing my daughter a fair placement at the school 37 seconds walk from my home. It's disgusting!
