This is exactly why folk is our savior, strong fearless women and gentle men standing in the background, with humble contribution that almost perfectly complements the long journey we've embarked on..
Astonishingly good. Her music now is amazing but this is proof that it has always been so. She is the greatest female singer songwriter of her generation IMO.
Today, a friend of mine was talking about rediscovering old music you liked on youtube. I was searching through my youtube channel when I came across this magnificent artist. Love this live session sooooooo much!!!! So powerful!
Laura....what can I say.....just listening her 10/100/1000/1000000 times and i feel like the first one... world's n1 woman singer-songwriter with any doubt!
I thought those guys in the back were some youth church choir waiting to do some gospel harmonies. Took me a while to stop wondering when they were going to come in.
It was at a TV station in Manchester UK called Channel m (it's the national football museum now). I was lucky enough to work there when this was recorded
Annedde Blume probably 2008 as the announcer says her album Alas I Cannot Swim is out which was in 2007. At the same there’s songs from her second album though so who knows.
Was the audience instructed to stand as still as possible with their hands at their sides? Lol, I was shocked when the emo mannequins in the background clapped after the first song. It was a great performance, but the setting was so damn weird.
Arjan Loeve First time I saw her was on "From the Basement" singing Your Only Doll (Dora) which she performs beautifully but looks scared shirtless. She was 17 and singing a song way, way beyond her years. That's when I fell in love with her. I've been fortunate to see her nine times live since then.
Laura - Vocals and Guitar, Marcus - Every other instrument possible and vocals

Put beautifully!

Masterpiece ❤
She is so incredibly articulate. What pure light and creativity she is to the world.
Oh my gosh Marcus Mumford is so young and he’s still got that vest
Marcus blows me away.....amazing talent.
Laura Marling has been an adored favorite of mine for many years now, but I just found this video, and man do I love the pairing of their voices
Beautiful ... Marcus is such an influential talented musician.
influential my arse
Your arse is influential? Silly Billy.
much more so than mumford and sons who are derivative pish
littlecommissioner who hurt you?
Marcus is definitely influential, at least for me, he's the reason I started playing guitar.
I like the way this performance builds ...
The kind of talent that makes me want to get better and quit at the same time
Ryen Brousseau never give up! Lyrics is always what I struggle with
Well-said! You effectively articulated a rather elusive and ambiguous sentiment.
I would love to see more music involving these 2. They are really great together
Love Marcus ❤️ just pure talent. He plays music just the same way that we all just breathe.... Amazing to watch him ♥️♥️
If we had asthma
Just lovely music from these two talented folk folk.
omg they are so young!
Marcus is a machine lol
couldn't agree more. the talent here is obscene. 😊
I wonder what his secret is!

+WayfarerLove Indeed
I came for Marcus Mumford and I found Laura Marling
George Doty-Williams lol me too
Marcus the one Man band. ..like a sleeping volcano ready to explode into the best band in the World!
This is her song, and Mumford and sons dropped off the map when she left them behind after he cheated on her.
Laura is the talent here.

Love this live session sooooooo much!!!! So powerful!
Ghosts, is superb. Best live version i've heard anywhere
I love this performance, I wish her early records reflected this style...they both were so young
This is off her second album isn’t it?
Who are the 17 people who accidentally hit thumbs down? This is amazing!
They are amazing!
Marcus is versatile asf
Those xylophone skills though
Laura....what can I say.....just listening her 10/100/1000/1000000 times and i feel like the first one... world's n1 woman singer-songwriter with any doubt!
Anyone else just watching Marcus standing awkwardly in the background...
absolutely wonderful
this is gold
Hermosa y sublime como siempre.
No sé exactamente lo que dicen sus canciones , sin embargo me provocan y evocan paisajes de trankilidad , aventura y fantasía .☺️
os 21 minutos mais bem gastos do meu dia.
Why haven't i heard about her earlier!? This is great!
I thought those guys in the back were some youth church choir waiting to do some gospel harmonies. Took me a while to stop wondering when they were going to come in.
Low key dying at your comment 🤣
Rebecca is my new favorite thing today. Thank you.
Am I the only one who is sitting watching this thinking; wow what instrument can he pull out next and play. 3 instrument and singing, that's talent
Marcus' mustache hurts me
I love how he's wearing a vest over a regular graphic tee hahaha and his hair!
That dude in the green shirt has a good voice. I want to hear him more. Does anyone know his name or if there's any songs that he sings by himself?
I am assuming you are not joking. That is Marcus Mumford of Mumford and Sons. (The best band ever imo.) 😁
One of the world's greatest vocalists today
At times Laura doesnt assert her voice aggressively enough. That said, it made the performance even more thrilling when she did up the aggressiveness.
Looks like a post apocalyptic top of the pops
perfectly put
Dynamic Duo
Talent! YES.

What a beauty... I'm brathless...

240p? why such a poor quality?
2008 darling
That hair tho
Isn't it ironic that the one who actually was the rising star was the drummer? :D
no, he's a muppet.
how old is that? :D
Annedde Blume probably 2008 as the announcer says her album Alas I Cannot Swim is out which was in 2007. At the same there’s songs from her second album though so who knows.
What year is this from?
i demand an answer
+TheDaringSpoon It will be early 2008 (if not recorded late 2007)
Posh posh posh
Laura seems just like me. Except lots of music talent

Was the audience instructed to stand as still as possible with their hands at their sides? Lol, I was shocked when the emo mannequins in the background clapped after the first song. It was a great performance, but the setting was so damn weird.
Better than talking through concerts like a Colorado crowd.
Laura is insanely talented but after Marcus’ versality she must have thought ‘ should not have done that ‘ and he was just cruising
Laura is fantastic. But this world makes a superstar of Taylor swift 😡
Dude, I fell asleep
I love Laura but she looks incredibly bored in this performance
Ikoikjji She used to be very nervous to preform i think.
Arjan Loeve First time I saw her was on "From the Basement" singing Your Only Doll (Dora) which she performs beautifully but looks scared shirtless. Gary Bodwin Cool for you..
By the way Marcus is a failure too.
+Gary Bodwin How can you say that? He's is a boss. Look at this, you might actually enjoy it ;)

CAS (theband) Thanks but...
Yes. An enormous failure... worth 10 million dollars.
What year is this from??
+Idre Villafuerte It will be early 2008 (if not recorded late 2007)
