Sublimation 101- Ink & Toner - Sawgrass Inkjet and iColor Laser printers.

In this video, I cover the basics of Sublimation ink and toner printers. For the ink side, we have the Sawgrass SG400 and SG800 printers shown with the Virtuoso print manager software.
On the toner side, we show the iColor 350 sublimation toner printers. Sublimation toner printers can be used with any type of paper and just require you to print from a program that allows you to select an ICC profile.

I know this is a bit of an off topic question, but does anyone know if you can print stickers on normal white or clear vinyl with the ICOLOR printer and is there an option to put in the marks so I can use my contour cutter? (ARMS)

Hi, I understand that the swap between Chromoblast and sublimation ink will damage the Sawgrass printer and only 1 ink type should be used for the printer. However, will swapping (and using) between the normal and sublimation toner damage the iColor laser printer?
I am seriously considering to purchase the iColor 600 printer to use for both sublimation and normal document printing. It is really a great time to come across your video as it is really helpful in helping me with my queries. Appreciate it.

My experience is : when I am design any imagen ,in photoshop is 300 pixels and the heat press a 430 degrees x 260 seconds I hope ly help my iexpereince .All this guys only make video but never answers questions.

When you are sublimating onto polyester clothing we are bonding the ink to the polyester fabric on a molecular level. The only difference between sublimation toner and ink is the method the sublimation pigment is being transported. Sawgrass uses a gel ink and Sublimation toner uses a sublimation pigment powder/toner mix. I will tell you right out of the box Sawgrass makes it much easier to get your colors right because they have a profile for every type of media and multiple presets inside their software. With Sublimation, you don't have these presets, or media settings so you may have to make some on the fly color adjustments from time to time.
