I've heard several contemporaries express their criticism of/dislike for David Frost, but Peter's, as you'd imagine, was the best. His life's greatest regret, he said on a few occasions, was that he saved David Frost's life.
interesting how dudley says they would riff into a recorderto build skits, like a musician does to write songs, a comedy duo in the states did the same thing, bob and ray, they started out on radio and started ad libbing to fill time, then go back and listen to the stuff they came up with and made them into skits as well. morecambe and wise are similar but were more of a physical-vaudeville type act.

"In Connect-uh-cut." So do I! I remember David Frost joining I in Connect-uh-cut. I remember a lot of clapping and false humor and boredom.
