THe pizzicati is so clear
Chuanyun makes this look effortless, almost as if he's ready to take a nap...
0:24 you can hear the stylish vibrato in these very short notes, whereas typically vibrato is reserved for drawing out longer notes. It makes the piece sound very flashy and sassy xD
Both violinist AND pianist were brilliant in this fiendishly difficult piece.
Bazzini's piece is one of the ultimate tests of technical prowess for any violinist. This is one of the cleanest (if not THE cleanest) performances of it that I've heard.
He is a great violinist.
I remember going to his concerts in Hong Kong when I was about 10 years old and learning the violin at Yip's. This guy was a showman and a bit eccentric to say the least, but a tremendous talent. I wonder what he's up to nowadays...
Very few violinists play this piece that well.
So musical in spite of the enormous difficulties inherent in the piece. Absolutely beautiful!!!
I can just picture little goblins dancing around to this! I play the video for my grandson quite often. I really like the fluidity of this rendition!
fantastic super so casual and sure of every note and pizicatto I admire this violinist
This man is unbelievable. Best performance of this piece
I like this better than his teacher, Perlman’s recordings, and any other I’ve watched and listened to.
That left hand pizz at 2:26......😲 Never heard anyone else do it!!
But it’s more than just technical wizardry. Intonation and musicality is remarkable.
I hope he again will grace audiences with his genius.
I have all the high-definition DVD footage for this album~Are you interested?
Look how relaxed his is!! I love it!
Amazing skill. He does the ricochet with upbow with such clarity. I am sure no one else could do that in upbow.
perfect, I admire this violinist
Nickwu 1214 what happened to him is he not playing internationally any more?
Amazing sound and precision! Fantastic!
this performance blows my mind a lot. sure there are other people who can play it faster but the precision and timing of the notes are so clean. like right here 0:54 is practically perfect timing as in other performances it sounds rushed and sure maybe its supposed to sound rushed or jumpy because the name of the piece IS called "dance of the goblins" either way i just think this is a really underrated preformance
He makes it so easy to play..
Breathtaking performance! He is the best of all the best violinists of all times! Literary.
Mr. Li doesn’t have the body of work that his teacher, the great Itzhak Perlman or other contemporaries like Hillary Hahn have. I however think that Mr Li plays all notoriously difficult pieces like Round of Goblins, Pag 24 (although wildly unorthodox), Nel Cor Piu, Zigeunerweisen, Carmen Fantasy (both Sarasate's and (especially) Waxman's), and Banjo and Fiddle better and at a higher skill level than anyone else I’ve listened to. Perhaps Midori played Zapateado better than Mr Li. One might think that Mr Li is a technical wizard only, but listening to his interpretation of Strauss and Tchaik’s violin concerto, it’s abundantly clear that his intonation, phrasing and musicality is equally as good as his technical wizardry. Mr. Li’s spiccato and left hand pizz is simply mind blowing.
I would love to hear Mr. Li play Bach and Sibelius. But even though I haven’t, I believe Li Chuanyun is the finest living violinist and perhaps the greatest ever. I wish so much he’d come back and bless audiences in all major concert halls all over the world with his amazing interpretations.
Brilliant interpretation!
genius
Skill and interpretation is second to none.
Superb. Beautiful sound!
What a 'devil' playing is this ??. Salute
Extraordinaria técnica . felicitaciones. Desde Buenos Aires Argentina
He is an really good one of a violinist .
He studied with the notable teacher Dorothy DeLay but stopped because he felt he could not learn more technique from her.
What is not said here is this: He and Ruggiero Ricci somehow met and he learned much more technique as one can see.
Incredible performance. A rare violinist with edge!
This was just amazing best I’ve seen on youtube
Absolutely amazing playing of the violin!
Brilliant players
Unreal bravo 👏 I
BRAVISSIMO!!!!!......
Increíble!!! 🥰🥰🥰
I love this guy because his U.S. Anthem was so much Angelic, SOOOO beautiful 😭😭😭😭🥰🥰🥰
Chuanyun Li had 3 teachers:Yaoji Lin,Dorothy DeLay,Itzhak Perlman.
Whoa!
My favorite violinist!
Astonishing musicality and technique 😮 I'm speechless
GREAT
Mil respectos! Increíble!
Certifié intergalactique!
太厲害了!簡直是地表最強!
great performance. so funny and perfekt
The way to distinguish a great violinist and a normal violinist is by their timbre because the good technique is necessary only to become a violinist.
Nice piano
the best
It's peculiarly enjoyable. Some rough parts but he's technically so competent, I'm beginning to think he's being scruffy on purpose as part of his musicianship.
He is, just like the pianist Horowitz was in his own right. The daring virtuoso sometimes takes risks as part of adding character.
Impressive
Best bazzini I ever heard !
Best one so far.
wow wow wow! he is the best in the world!
Those 4 G note is insane
man played the riccochet part with left hand pizzicato...
Damn
only crazy !

So casually.
Awesome playing!!! Really sounds great... but I'm little disappointed because video and audio are not synchronized properly... video lags a bit...
This guy should be way more popular! I mean, he is Paganini/Ling Ling
The sound and the video is kinda off but he was doing it right just the videos fault
Yeah, it's actually my fault.
The video's fine, just you have to deal with that, and the potato quality.
It makes me fall asleep
ウマい笑。ウマすぎる。
maybe it's my ear, but the video's audio it's later than the video, it's can means the video it's a edit, that or is dismake of the video's audio
@@TheAnonyy but it's rare, because the video's edit is noticeable in the violinist's digitation, put the speed in 0.25 in the min 0:45 and if you listen the note out of tempo please awnser me
pianist
Based
el goblino...
Welp we’re boned.
2:28 LMAO
@@andrewzhang8512 more like fingers; that part is usually played ricochet, not left hand pizz
Obviously he was not from the Earth.
Que pena lo que tiene, el es un virtuoso!!!!!
Asiáticos 😤 porqueeeee
Jesus christ this is sick
❤😂🎉💰👍😊👆🙂😎😅🐮🌸
Overall a good violinist, however some of his other performances aren’t very good, like his Paganini caprice 24 performance.
@@villesarkilahti4975 hefietz would beg do differ, as would paganini.
@@andrewzhang8512 Chuanyun Li was performing bach and paganini in kindergarden he was a child prodigy.
@@villesarkilahti4975 Not that my opinion matters, but I think Mr. Li s the greatest recorded violin player ever. I’ve tried to find someone that plays with more musicality, phrasing, intonation, and virtuosity, but have thus far failed. Even with Perlman and Vengerov, I find myself still preferring Mr. Li.
@@andrewzhang8512 the only violinist closest to his technique that we have recordings of is Roman Kim . Heifetz couldn't pull off some insane stunts the two mentioned did . As for Paganini , maybe he could but we don't have his recordings.
@@peteroh9319 Kavakos comes to mind with virtuosity + accuracy + musicality + phrasing(!) but his aura is different than Li's, it's more serious and "cerebral" as others have said. Although he still captures the feeling of dancing goblins in his Dance of the Goblins recording from back when he was in his 20s so it looks more like a preference of his to play with a more academic color.
piano is too loud
I disagree, I think Mr. Koenig played it perfectly.
They’re prefect together.
Man, I really dislike the piano...
Awesome technique 👍🏼
It's mind boggling how he plays this so fluid and at the same time looks so bored playing...lol Wow. Insane skill level.
