    Brandy, thank you so very much for doing this tutorial. I am always uncertain about the varnishes so your tutorials are an answer to my prayers. Ha, ha

    I’m working on a wood inlaid coffee table. I love the raw wood the way it is. What can I use as a protective finish that’s not going to darken, and leave it a Matt finish. As close to what it looks like now?

      The closest I've found is using a mattte finish clear coat, they seem to not darken as much. A thin coat to start, try to not saturate the wood, then layered over that

    I am converting a dresser to a powder room vanity that doesn’t get used often. I have General finishes high performance top coat and also have WO matte varnish. Do you have a recommendation? And will more coats be beneficial?

      Either of those top coats would be good choices, just be sure to clean up standing water quickly. More coats will help

    I used Wise Owl varnish and turned the piece cloudy and in some spots white. I sprayed once. Took it off then used a brush the second time. Stripped it away repeat then used a sponge same out come. Please advise what I might have done wrong. Thank you🐝

      Usually if I experience cloudiness, it's over dark colors in particular and Usually when there is too much humidity, either moisture in the paint or too much moisture in the air. Be sure to stir well before you, particularly with matte finishes, stir before every coat
