The majority of these bags look so dated! It’s like luxury fashion has become fast fashion.
This is over the span of 15 years so alot of the ones do definitely look dated. Fashion is cyclical. Marc Jacobs is bring that old plaque back again!
I still wear my Balenciaga City Bags. They are my “rain bags”. They cost me $ so I’ll use them 🤷🏻♀️

What a fountain of knowledge!! If and when I feel compelled to buy a bag, I’ll run it by you first to see if you have the downlo on any defects or issues. You should be on the board of directors for a large fashion house and warn them if any new designs aren’t functional before they get released. ♥️🌹
I agree re Kate Spade bags. I have only one that I keep because of it's gorgeous red/orange color, but the quality - not so much. I love Mulberry bags but you're not the first to say they're heavy. Omg 100+ 😮😮😮 I have tumi nylon backpack that can slide into my tumi luggage handles and been using them for a most 8 years now. No issues.
That's good to know! I still have my Tumi luggage and just in case fold up tote. Have you seen their recent releases? Looks like they're trying to keep up with the times.
I also bought then sold or giveaway a lot of bags too. I feel bad when they don't work out but I learn what bags works for me, lightweight and small to medium size works best.. lessons learn. Thanks for sharing your bag purchases.
That's a lot of handbags you've dumped! My handbag journey started 2014, took a 6-year hiatus from 2016-2022, then started back up after the pleather bag I was using for work started peeling around the handles. I have had a number of Rebecca Minkoff bags, including the one that you had, in my student days, then ended up giving them to my mom because the larger bags started losing their shape. In 2022-2023 I discovered Polene and purchased pre-loved Celine. I went down a rabbit hole in UA-cam and learned all about the different qualities of leather, and I can now say I doubt I'll ever buy Kate Spade or Coach for myself again. This is sure an exciting time for handbag lovers, with all these indie brands offering incredible value.
I'm glad to hear i'm not the only one that went thru so many bags. If my dad ever found out what I've been doing the past 15 years..he would totally lose his shit hahah! Yes you can really dive head first into that rabbit hole on YT!

Definitely went through the bag evolution myself. Everything used to sell quickly on ebay years ago. Not anymore. I have several high-end bags that I'm trying to sell on Poshmark, but it's almost impossible unless you let them go for pennies. And I already try to sell them for a fraction of the price. Do you have a recommendation what the best place to sell is? Thank you in advance!
I sold most of my stuff on Poshmark. It really depends on what you're trying to sell. One trick on Poshmark is if your listing has been posted for a while, delete the listing and repost it so it's fresh. Yea unfortunately, times have changed so it is harder to sell. I would say try to not buy anything at retail in the first place so that when you do go to sell it. You're not taking a bigger hit.
Love this! I wish i could be more like you and be able to get rid of bags i dont use anymore but i have a problem of letting go! I started my journey with a Fendi By the Way and moved into Loewe then a string of Celine bags (all Phoebe Philo designs, don't love any of the new stuff). Recently got a Bottega Candy Wallace and have my eyes on a Delveaux bag.. Hoping to reach bag peace soon!

Agree.. As soon as Coach, Michael Kors and Tory Burch hit the factory outlet route to mass produce sub-par bags for corporate profits, I completely lost interest in those three brands. So disappointed now that all our bags devalued over this corporate greed.
that's always the bottom line! Yea i honestly think outlets should only exist to sell past season overstock items.

I would use my Balenciaga. I do own a pair of Balenciaga Sunnies (found while budget shopping) and I love and wear them. I don't believe there's a Luxury Fashion House that doesn't come with a scandal. In fact, I believe we'll all be wearing our birthday suits if we banned everything we wear.
