If I could go back to my childhood and stay there forever, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Adult life has many benefits and charms, but nothing comes close to the innocence, simple joy, and hopefulness we have as kids.
close your eyes, think about when you used to be on lunchbreak at school as a kid, surrounded by friends, laughing, smiling, nothing but good times. think about all the time you used to spend with your family, holidays, doing things with your brothers/sisters. emotional shit, growing up sucks.
Im not sure how can people actually dislike this. I mean, this song clearly appeals to your nostalgic sense of chilhood, the sounds of the children playing in the background with the wind whispering bring you the memories you had of your infancy playing in the playground with your child friends without a care in the world. How could you dislike this? It just doesnt make sense, if this just wasnt your type of music, in my case i would just go "hm, not quite my taste", but these "96" people went out of their way to actually press the godamn DISLIKE button on this. I use the dislike button when i see miley cyrus rodeoing a wrecking ball or videos of stupid adolescents commiting animal abuse.. Not this. God damn you humanity.
+Filipe Aguiar I use the dislike button when I dislike something. In this case, I believe some people have a different taste. There's no hate or grievance, just different taste. Your point of view is pretty ignorant. Stick to the mood of the track and relax!
+Angus1MacGyver ... You kinda just repeat what i said making my point. If you have a different taste does it automatically mean you dislike something? No. Then why did these people go out of their way to press a "dislike" button, to announce that they dislike this? Im in all honesty, curious about one of those person's reasons to dislike this soundtrack. And i chuckled at the pretty ignorant part. You are kinda inconsistent aren't you?
Filipe Aguiar For most people there is no neutral pov. You either like something or you don't like something. Especially when it comes to personal taste. I don't like dubstep because it's not my taste, hence I dislike it. While "not liking" or having "different taste" may not mean disliking same thing automatically, it applies most of the time. It's pretty obvious. Two choices to vote, like or dislike, this video certainly isn't your taste, why would you bother clicking "like" if it doesn't even remotely apply? Sorry, my english isn't as flawless as yours.
+Angus1MacGyver It's all good brother. I simply dislike linearity and bivalance choices. It's the same thing like saying what is "right" and what is "wrong". Nothing in the universe is so simple as a yes or no save a few exceptions. I sometimes say im "neutral" in certain subjects simply because i do not posses the knowledge to argue favorably or desfavorably regarding this or that. I preach this to other people as i can and wish some would do the same but unfortunately, that doesn't happen often. But arguing one's point of view with another is a great part of what being human is afterall. But enough about that. Keep listening to music.
+Filipe Aguiar Do you know what dogma is? Or how about dogmatic psychopathy? If you know then you believe. If you believe than they must exist. Ergo the verisimilitude of disliking this song. _Nice word by the way (bi valance)._
I wouldn't mind throwing my life away and staying home for the rest of it with majestic on loop! this music takes me away from everything going on in life! just... beautiful
The kids in the background make this song really special. I don't know what it is, but it is like they add a special layer that makes this sound really cool.
I can hear the sound of my childhood. Running free in the school playground on a balmy summer's afternoon without a care in the world....back when life was simple. This tune manages to capture my imagination so well and take me back to that time.
When it comes to matching a picture to a song, this might be the best I've seen. The school yard noises in the background of the song match the background of the playground perfectly, and then when the beat kicks in... the sunset and the street say it all.
The sound of kids lpaying in the backgournd of this song remind me of being a child myself, and all the great times I had in the playground at school. Some of the sounds triggure some powerful memories I hadn't thought about in about 15 years.
sounds like this magic moment when the sun slowly starts to go down in the summer evening. and your heart beats just as slowly and calmly. the time stops for a short moment and you know it, you already know it. it's the most beautiful though so ordinary moment of your life.
Such a natural sounding song, I love listening to this song when I'm surrounded by people and I can just sit back and zone out on all the peculiar little things about life. Really touches my heart this one.
How can a 17 years old boy create something like this? I'm not talking about the (objective) beauty of the song.. I mean, it touches me so deeply.. speechless :)
this song... simply incredible. I listen to a vast variety of music, searching new styles and impressions, but I always come back to this. Such a simple tune, but so rich in meaning and feeling. No matter the season, the weather, it always seem to fit. Whether I am happy and want to bask in the feeling or depressed and need consolation, this melody helps me. Nowadays, I like to listen and reminisce about the past, while contemplating what my future may hold and what I want to achieve :)
I'm sorry but you have no reason to apologise, it was written with the, as you say, emotions, memories and excitement revived by this nostalgia-inducing track. The sounds brought tears to my eyes remembering the friends and times of carelessness I used to have.
Still, after 7 years, it's one of the best things that happened to me in the internet.
7 years got nothin on us 🔥
Majestic Casual yea, early Majestic tracks makes me nostalgic right now, that means something. ^^
Agreed!!! From 2020

Well... I actually do...

Not everybody had the perfect childhood the most kids had... Like...
I fully agree with you growing up is much better than childhood if you didn't have a perfect childhood
This recalls so much memories of summer, childhood, freedom... wow, such an extraordinary song
9 freaking years.... ECHHH, still one of the greatest melodies out there...
12...

I wouldn't mind throwing my life away and staying home for the rest of it with majestic on loop! this music takes me away from everything going on in life! just... beautiful
this song depicts children playing together by the sea with a magnificent pink-orange summer sunset .. just before going home.
The kids in the background make this song really special. I don't know what it is, but it is like they add a special layer that makes this sound really cool.
Huh h
Simplicity says a million words...
i hear Jonas Mantey at Fuchsbau 2014 Festival. First and best Festival in my life and this song reminds me like it was yesterday :) ♥

Honestly, sometimes this song is too beautiful.
awakes the spring in me!
I can hear the sound of my childhood. Running free in the school playground on a balmy summer's afternoon without a care in the world....back when life was simple. This tune manages to capture my imagination so well and take me back to that time.

Nothing beats a good smoke up and listening to majestic tunes for the night :)
This is the song i from now on would like to wake up to - it will make every day have the perfect start.
It's not about the absence of peace it is the pursuit of it. That's more important! You're right about the music...
one of the best reactions i've ever read
this is not music, this is art :)
Just this song, my friends and the sunset at our lake
I wouldn't even call this (deep/ambient, whatever) house anymore. Music like this takes electronic music to a whole new level. I'm in love.
