They should put different characters on each version of the cover. Like Luke for standard, Chun Li for deluxe, and Ryu for ultimate. That would be cool.
I had the same thought process. Opted for Deluxe because I at least want the characters but not really interested in them other than maybe AKI once they show how they play and their personality.. Was debating getting the Ultimate because I have that "gotta collect them all" mentality, but this is Capcom and Street Fighter we are talking about... There is going to be SEVERAL hundreds of Bison Bucks worth of DLC content released for this game as well as an eventual Super Ultra Turbo Remix version with most of that stuff included.. So yeah. I am just getting the characters for the sake of getting all the characters but saving the costumes and stages for cherry picking only what I really want.
thanks! you did a great job! casual players and more into fighting games can now safely understand what to invest when it comes to these deals! I was confused I made up my mind! :D
I wish they would confirm for certain what the costumes were cuz its really hard to not buy the ultimate edition just for fear of missing out LMFAO but im gonna go ahead and scoop up the deluxe
I'm getting the deluxe simply because i hate having the ugly lock in my character select screen, plus having all characters is really fun for casual sets with family and friends. The ultimate pass is way too expensive IMO
@@abusive_kindness when a DLC character drops and you don’t own them, they are still in the character select screen but with a lock icon above them. I don’t like it.
If you’re casual there’s no reason get anything but the base edition. It’s better to save those money and get the sf6 ultra edition or whatever after 2 years when everything is released.
When I saw this me, and my other friends, all gravitated towards the deluxe edition. I would've considered ultimate edition for the extra costumes and stages but since the characters, costumes and stages haven't been officially or unofficially revealed it doesn't seem worth it atm. Also if they do something similar a few years down the line to SFV CE we'd just get all the costumes later anyway, and for every character
The main issue with the Ultimate edition is that the costumes are only for Ed, Akuma, Rashid, and AKI (the 4 dlc characters) so unless I really want everything it’s not really worth it. The 2 stages would have to be really good for me to even want them separate to begin with. I can live without costumes and stages
@@KasualZenkai oh yeah definitely. I would have loved the stages too. If it really is only for those 4 characters (probably will be) then I agree that it's not really what I would be looking for either. If capcom decides to have it for every single character that would be great, but seeing that even the pre order bonus is only for a select few characters unlike gg strive where they had a special ps color for everyone, it's kinda meh
I'm into competitive play but I bought the standard version for now, maybe get the dlc later on if I need to lab against them. €60 already is a lot of money to me so better spend it wisely.
I like Street Fighter 5 a lot better than Street Fighter 6 because in Street Fighter 5, there is no need for Capcom ID and no need for annoying QR codes to scan with a smartphone. In Street Fighter 5, all you have to do is create your online fighter ID name, go online and win and lose some online matches. Easy peasy. Street Fighter 6's World Tour story mode sucks because you are basically leveling up your created fighters for absolutely nothing and you cannot play as your created fighters in offline and online matches in Street Fighter 6! If I were you, Capcom fans, I would stick with Street Fighter 2 through 5, the Street Fighter Alpha series, Street Fighter EX 1,2 and 3, Street Fighter X Tekken, etc.. The Capcom of today are not as good as the Capcom of way back when. If Capcom are going to continue forcing Capcom ID and QR codes down us Capcom fans' throats, then me, you and the rest of the Capcom community are going to quit buying Capcom's future games.
I orders the deluxe edition yesterday, at least I get all of the characters. I’m a lore head so I was hoping to get the art book and collectors.. but the deluxe is more of a bang for my buck Edit: GameStop somehow said that I saved enough points for a collectors edition so I got that. And I’m getting the deluxe editor with a steel book
Only AKI interests me out of the four DLC chars, so I'm just gonna buy her separately. The costumes are also for the DLC chars so no reason to waste money on the Deluxe and Ultimate editions.
Now so many months later after release, there are some good deals out for both the deluxe and ultimate edition. I don't care fot the extra outfit colors but am wondering what the extra in game currency between the two editions would allow to happen
Gonna have to get DELUXE i Need Akuma and Rashid as i didn't play SF5 due to its exclusivity and he was looked GREAT, the only newcomer i actually liked don't acre at all for Ed and with Aki being revealed not too long ago she looks interesting to say the least. For £80 in the UK its ok since both separately are 60+26.
i think i will probably go with the ultimate edition so I can get the most value and I will have the most options in local multiplayer when I play with my friend but I may get the deluxe edition. either way I want to try and get all the characters and stages for the game as I really do enjoy it
I dont care about the year 1 characters, well of course akuma is a MUST but the rest is...meh, so I will buy the vanilla version and wait for new versions of the game, like a super turbo ultimate or something like that, or discounts, SFV was a mess whit that
What the hell are these prices in the Playstation store though??? On steam I would "only" have to pay 59.99€ ( 65$) for standard 84.99€ (92$) for deluxe and 104.99€ (113$) for the ultimate edition.
If your Casual Gamer you don't need the extra characters if you intend to go into local competitions and try to get ranks you need every single character

We can buy the DLC characters separately right? Is buying the deluxe edition cheaper than buying the standard edition then buying DLC characters?
You will likely be able to buy characters separately. Idk if it’s cheaper or now we’ll need to see the price of a single dlc to do the math on that
Most DLC characters are like $4.99 with Tax so logically it actually is cheaper depending on where you live
