That's a nice pantry/cleaning closet 😩 I absolutely despise the wire shelving. We have them in our pantry, but have bigger priorities with fixing up the house 😔
There is a diy hack with thick foam posterboard. Cover the wire shelf with that, then cover the faom board with contact paper. Can do a front edge piece to make it appear like a regular wood type shelf. Temp fix while you are busy with the more important things. But then you also don't feel like stabbing yourself in the eye, every time you open the closet.
I'm with you and just got a great boar from Michael's in black, but may use contact paper. Also doing a thousand other things, but while redoing our closet to be functional, I discovered that they are absolutely disgusting that look just as gross as hers just from years of grime and dust build up. We don't even use ours for food... yet! I have been recording it as I go, but no where near ready to post anywhere 😅
The only other plug I've seen in a cleaning cabinet was my grandfather's 50-year-old mobile home and I thought that a plug inside the cleaning cabinet was such a great idea and had not seen it since this is amazing I'm so glad you incorporated it
That pantry looks like it's the same size as ours, although I think ours is a little deeper. I hate those wire shelves, the builders for our house. I'm glad we don't have them in most of the spaces in our condo. We have some, but those were put in by a previous owner. We have solid shelves, like the ones you used. I also put in a rack similar to the one you did, but I hung mine over the door. I will be adding another length of rails to the bottom of it at some point and add more baskets. I wish I had a big, walk in pantry but there's no room for it in our condo.
Where I come from (Scandinavia) it's common for a cleaning closet to have space for vacuum cleaner (as yours does) but also mop and bucket, and iron and ironing board. Do you intend to store those items there also, or are they stored elsewhere?
Incredible. Question. We are thinking about painting our cabinets. The sealer is practically all gone as they are about 18 years old. What should we do in order to paint them? Do we have to sand them. Also I just came across your channel. I love everything.
