I’m so old that I bought Tracey’s A Distant Shore mini LP as a student and a couple of years later watched EBTG play live during the Love Not Money tour in ‘85.
I found Tracey's book Naked at Albert Hall in the library yesterday and suddenly some memories about EBTG came back. I tried to search online about her and then I found this...this is apparently a way that the universe wants me to know they have a new album 😊
Great music indeed! The world needs continued quality music and I, for one, am very glad musicians of caliber come out to bless us with new content. the up-and-comers need to listen and learn from musicians such as these two.
Uma dupla de ABSOLUTO sucesso, faz parte da minha vida, na década de 90 ouvi muito as músicas deles como missing. Brasil 🇧🇷 concectado 🍀💯🎁🏆🍾🥂🎼👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
*"I had a real sense of time passing." - Whew, that landed heavily within me. The depth and aching creativity never stops when you're hard-wired as a deep, reflective soul. This was food for the heart. Thank you.*
God I wish this was included in “Bedsit” … but… you kids are the best… Tracey, your fucking amazing torchy voice, Ben, your musical brilliance!! … …. Thank you for all your fabulousness… I put Idlewild on the turntable now… Cheers babes
Thank you , thank you, Ben and Tracey… since the eighties and still binge listening! Your talent .. the singing is probably the best… and the composition is incredible! Unique, fresh, real… for over 40 years! I’m glad I was fortunate enough to have your music as my life soundtrack! THANK YOU BOTH, b frost California
When we were growing up all the leaders died or were killed in our infancy... those that tried to rise up since got dragged back down by scandals and corruption... the beatniks, the hippies, the lobbyists, the activists, the cultural zeitgeist and social milleu never accepted their battles as either lost or won but never-ending... and as more stars filled the sky, bright but lesser lights.. until it all began to blur and losing our ability to use them to navigate. There's good music today, contrary to the many old fogies in our ranks unaware they have turned into the elders of their eras.... but it does often feel like today's culture is walking through a museum. It's everything we've seen before... just more of it. It's great you can find more of what you like but nothing new really stands out, all on its own, if you're not already interested. . . hence, geezers like us, return to the seeds of our youth to see how they've matured and bloomed.
Two of the most talented, extremely emotionally intelligent musicians - they blend and always have - I’ve watched them from the early nineties until today - they are an amalgam musically - probably amazing parents to their children as well - they seem like they are just really cool people.🇨🇦🍁🇦🇺🦘🇬🇧💂
Two totally original awesome musical talents they hold a special place in musical history one of the great duos of all time
Tracey Thorn is absolutely one of the great vocalists of her generation, full stop. Her voice alone IS music to my ears 👍❤️

Don't let government dictate stop
your creativity.
They didn’t play it much in USA, we only get to hear singers on stripper poles.
You know you can't become if you only say what you would of done...
That's Len song
Hope you enjoyed your sarnies 😂
Sad. The marxist chit chat becomes normal.
What does that mean??
🤫❄️😄
Great album. But STFU about pandemic. It's history.
I think it’s very relevant, without out it happening it’s unlikely the album would’ve ever happened either
Love you guys
Jesus we are all so old now, I remember seeing these guys in Sydney back pre 2000, culture dosnt move like it used too. Fuck I love these guys.
