The only thing that could make this better would be having two shows a week. With quotes like... “The kindness coming from him”, and “I don’t take dat”, this is pure old school, radio gold. Bravo!
50:20 in Terry talk about looking one in the eye when shaking hands, that is my fondest memory of Terry when we shook hands on our way to a hockey Game at the Bell Center. Lasting impression of warmth and that big smile. We are all blessed and better off with these two fine gentlemen back in front of a mic together.
Great stories-Ball Four is my fave sports book and Ted is right, there are so many good lines in there you need to read it multiple times! Keep it going, will tune in next week 👍
I'm enjoying you guys so much - loving all the stories! Jean Beliveau walked by me on St. Catherine St. one day about 30 years ago. As we passed each other he must have seen the look of recognition on my face and he gave me the warmest smile. Made my day!
Hey T, nice to hear your reference to the Carbo and Luds telephone calls from back in the day. One of my better co-productions, lol! Was great to see Patty chiming in on my FB post... cool memories indeed!!
in todays social media climate, it takes a special moment to captivate you to stay on the whole time, and without fail, you two will always the chemistry needed to time pass by so quickly, you don't even realize it ends so quickly and makes you want to make sure to tune in next episode again and again. Cheers to you both, Terry and Ted and the production crew as well at Pantelis et al. Loved it! Wished that Ted would regal us with is old Pally Pascal routine as well with the weather/sports beat (hope that was the right name of the gag but always cracked up on that one)!
As if we didn't know you guys well enough, now being able to say what you want when you want adds a whole new dimension to " I am so glad I listen to them". Thank you so much for these podcasts it takes me back years to CHOM and the friendship between you both, keep'em coming please
Scheduled call with a friend in 20 minutes. Ooh, episode 2 of Standing By out! Cool, I'll watch 10-15 minutes. Calls friend 50 minutes later to apologize for missing the call. Proof you guys have a winning podcast. KUDOS!
Great reminisces, guys. Your stories of the Habs and the glory days of the 70s reminded me of the time I was at the old Harvey's restaurant near the Forum, killing time before a concert. Sitting next to me at the counter was, Doug Jarvis. He was extremely cordial, let me take a close look at his Cup ring.
Incredible!!!!
