I love your videos - short and to the point and so much useful information in the short video. Thank you! I have three pullets that are about 20 weeks old, and one of them started have more red in her face and I think she might be the first one to lay. She has already been pecking around the nest boxes, but I haven't seen her go in yet. We have cameras set up to monitor which girl is laying.
Great video as always. I have a new batch of girls I hatched out myself on March 21st so they'll be getting ready to lay soon enough, can't wait. They'll be with the big girls soon, all in 1 coop. I have 3 coops going on right now. One for the roos, one for the little girls and one for the big girls. It's a lot of work but I know it'll be worth it in the long run. Thanks for sharing. It's always so great seeing you and your chickens❤
Great video! Love you guys! My chickens will be 18 weeks this week and I am going to be putting out the oyster shells. Do you have any tips on how to have them not destroy the nesting pads? I have the same ones you guys buy and they ripped two of them apart two weeks ago and took them out the nesting boxes and just left the ceramic eggs in. Tomorrow I will be putting the nesting pads back in! Thanks a bunch!
I have a question. I have a frizzle (Ophelia) and I feel like she can not see since her beautiful crest has filled in. How do you help them see? I have watched cutting /trimming videos but they look horrible afterwards. Do you trim your Polish? I saw how beautiful yours looked. Thank you for egg laying cues. Ours just went to their coop last week and are entering week 8.
How can I stop my chickens from eating they’re own eggs? I’ve always had plastic fake eggs in the nesting boxes but I think it’s my polish chicken doing this to the austroalorps eggs. Any tips would be so appreciated!
I have a mixed flock. My 2 black stars started laying, the others could be a few a while. How doni manage food now? Do I put out both starter and layer feed?

My girls keep sleeping and pooping I the nest box at 14-15 weeks old I haven't blocked them yet but I think I need to huh?
Yep. My 16 week old brown leghorn laid her first egg yesterday.
Mine, too!
If they do that when they are sleeping, you can fix that by putting the roost bar above the nesting boxes. 😊

Wait until they all start to lay then swap to laying fed. Put oyster shells out for the ones already laying
Please make duck videos 😊
