@Shirish Pokharel not really, but i dedicated a lot of time to the game and i also had a friend group who were already silver/gold level so i’d always be playing with their MMR, usually getting dumped on but i felt like i was getting better quick. one thing i do a lot is instead of tilting and blaming team mates i try to find what i could have done better, and try to learn from my mistakes

@@konradgniaz3518 wasn’t trying to flex it’s just something that a lot of people don’t realize and i see it happen often. i know i’m still low elo and not a great player but i’m happy with how my climbing has gone so far as i was really hesitant to even start playing ranked in the first place. everyone goes at their own pace and that’s why i’m still trying to learn as much as i can from coach

@@jettdaddy69shorts38 ight,i can believe that ur intention was to express ur happiness because of how ur climb is going.Good luck on the rift and dont lose your learning mentality, many people that start off like this end up as hardstuck p4/d4 because they would get ego and stop learning off of their mistakes, blaming it on the coinflip, meta, or anything else.

@@konradgniaz3518 Considering most of the playerbase is Bronze/ Silver even after years of playing, getting gold relatively quickly is pretty good. It's at least a decent foundation to build off of if you want to climb. It shows you at least pick up some fundamentals relatively quickly.

step 1 is SUCH A MOOD
ive been saying this since i started taking league seriously. if you cant control your own champion/movement without looking you will never ever be able to look at the map or dodge skillshots or punish last hits or any of the other million things you need to be thinking about during a game. this is why ive always said that there is a minimum level of micro ability required to "unlock" the brain side of the game.
im so glad you talked about this because i feel like this is a super common problem for the less mechanically gifted players like myself and ive literally never seen anyone talk about it in any sort of detail

AHA! Mini-breaks! I admit I fall into the 3rd category of players who do not seek out mini-breaks in the lane. But, I plan to rewatch the JG tracking video and remind myself of the tremendous weight of information I can gain from the map, especially regarding JGs. I'm floored you could turn my request into a video with a one week turnaround time. I look forward to my next cycle of review games where I can hone in on identifying mini-breaks in the lane. Cheers!

That champion mastery concept of never looking at your own champion is similar to mastery in fighting games. Focusing on the opponent helps you to learn their patterns and space yourself as best as you can. Of course in League it comes with the added benefit of looking at the minimap. Amazing video, I love the miniature breaks concept. It really clarified exactly what you are doing in order to read the map well. I don’t know if it is kosher to mention other content creators here, but I had recently gotten much better at map awareness from watching xfsn saber coaching videos. He focuses on habit based learning and he often has to deal with map awareness issues with his clients. It helped me build habits to fix my map awareness, but this video you created kinda explains the nuts and bolts behind the habits.

What a great video, I've learned so much from this!
A suggestion for a topic that I haven't seen covered on youtube yet: When and how to teleport as a midlaner.
For example, when I see my botlane getting dove, how do I decided whether I should tp?
Should I TP during the dive, or is it too late then?
I find this incredibly difficult to decide and it's losing me tons of games.

My biggest problem is that I feel totally lost once laning phase ends , I just don't understand when should I push , grupe with the team or go for objectives I know when can I get away with a roam , I even manage to fake them , but once the game passes the 15-20 min mark my performance falls apart and from there it's a coin flip

I wish, back in time we had these kind of infos. I needed to learn all this shit from korean players which were playing in my country at that time and met them in a picnic lol. 3 years from season 5 to 8, i was silver stuck with a fucking monster KDA (like 3.5-4 which is really high if you played at least more then 50 games with a champ) and was so frustrated that i deleted league.
Then these Korean heroes started to coach me when we hang out. They showed me some games from Korea (which is the time when i learned there are different leagues, there is faker etc...) and improved me a lot mentally. And im not complainin, but i was expecting smt like "wow man you are good but you do this and this wrong" but instead of this i got more like "NO! NO! NO! DONT FIGHT THERE!!! OMG! YOU ARE SO BAD!!!!" and something similar to those lines every game i play :D Their methods are harsh but they dont do it to harm you, i mean you feel that its not personal and i wanted to improve. So i respected them and let them teach me the game.
Then i started to play ranked again for season 9 and boom, i was gold. I had some problems with the Fucked up MMR so they suggested me to create a new account so i did.
And after my 10 games i lost 6 of them, was complaining to myself by saying "im still shit, nothing has changed fuck my life" you know usual League critics :P I got placed to Gold 2, FUCKIN GOLD 2. Imagine being stuck for 2.5 years and suddenly got placed to gold 2 after losing most of the placement games... It felt amazing, i got hyped so much that i was playing 10-15 games every day. After that, won some games and again fucking plat for first time in my life.
At that point i realised that the game is not about your talent. Seriously, you can argue all night about it, but if a fucking silver stuck for 2.5 years can go to plat that easily, then its just about the makro gaming, and of course your teammates.
S10, i was finally Dia and after that point i got bored, every game started to be like a coinflip and i was actually done and satisfied. Now? Guys im fucking done with the league seriously, I dont think i can be challenger and also tbh idc or i dont want to be a challenger. I am playing at gold elo with my friends to have fun and troll picks time to time (twice in a month ot smt) and thats all. I think i dont enjoy the league anymore because its been 6 fucking years LMAO. Enough is enough.
    TL;DR
If you want to climb, just go find some Koreans and let them teach you idk :D

I have this habit of pressing tab and flipping through my f keys whenever I've started the animation to last hit a minion and just look at the map periodically. it's a really short period of time so should I try to assess the map while looking at tab or just ditch that altogether? Also just a funny side story. I was watching Bobqins stream and he was talking about how informational channels don't do well and me and quite a few people in his chat spammed COACH CURTIS and made him acknowledge you :D

It's a good habit to get into if you are able to actively process the information you are seeing, faker is very good at utilizing the f keys, but keep in mind it's not about it 'looking cool' , it's about what the information is informing you to do next
      Thanks brother

Hi, I'm from Brazil, and I think your channel is extremely interesting, but I have difficulty translating some words you speak, could you have a tip on how to improve this? I get a little lost sometimes with certain explanations.

What do you think about these things in terms of map awareness?:
    - How strong are you relative to the opponents? Ex: If I have a lead, I may or may not be ganked more going in to mid-game (especially with bounties).
    - The speed at which you can get ganked/collapsed on?
    - Abilities and summoners up available to you vs what they have?
    - Intuition and team positioning (If I push up with no pressure top/bot, then I'll probably get ganked)
    - Gankability of junglers and MIAs (with and WITHOUT pings)
    - If the enemies are on your side of the map, what does it mean for your team vs their team advantage? Ex: My bot is smashing theirs, my jg is in bot river, their jg is coming around top river for a gank. I would want to play around with them (if I can be safe) to hold them up there, or make sure I'm aware. There's also nothing like a predator hecarim flying from out of fog nowhere and catching you off guard 'cause you didn't know that was a possibility.

These are all very relevant to assessing the game state and understanding the likelihood of you actually getting ganked or not.
Keep in mind though that the best laners while ahead actually WANT to attract attention from the enemy jg but avoid the gank to relieve pressure from side lanes, thats what faker mastered.

Most of the adc helps I can find are proguides bs. Thanks! Been watching since 20k and imma keep watching
