Pat Pilley well said! I watched it with no intention of doing this work of art. The precision and expertise needed to pull this off is beyond mere mortals. If people of today only had the concentration and dedication of this lady the world would be a much calmer and more beautiful place. This is the way I like to sew, so calm, neat and turn out beautiful. The only thing is...maybe next time you use a little piece of white sticker to write on will be more easier to read and just mention that you used centimetres for your work so you no need to write “cm” 😘 I’m so glade to found your channel. Elisabeth, i does but this is not cooking or baking and you don't have to make it in one go. 20 minutes here and there and it'll be ready in no time. I do my knitting when I watch a movie, sew and embroider for relaxation instead of watching TV. Try it 🙂

How I am reading this. 1st section: grids are 9 cm. the blocks are 1.5 cm, square (1.5cm + 1.5cm = 3 cm), with 4 grids on top and 2 grids centered on bottom. 2nd section is 3 grids 9cm each 2 on top and one on bottom with the 1st one angle line in half diagonally then an curve is made from about 3cm (guess) down on the angle line on the left to 3cm (guess) over to the right side with 1cm thickness of the curve to the top of both grids on left and right. Hope this helps I am going to make this and will let you know if I am correct on my figures but I think I am right.

This is a fantastic idea and I love the video, however, your handwriting is very difficult to read at times and I spent quite a long while staring at something you'd scribbled on one of the side pieces of fabric, thinking it was a number I didn't understand, only to finally realize it had to be a Japanese character.

Like how she does show that 40 cm is 16 inches. I collect scraps wheen I quilt in little pieces like this. Was going to make a postage stamp quilt. Think I will do this instead. Would be great for a make up bag and would not take as long to save up squares.

Found another UA-cam with subtitles and inches...yea.
Peggi Crawford I realize they are metric but I live in the USA and we use inches not metric. No I do not know the metric system nor do I plan to learn it. Just saying it would be nice to have subtitles etc for those of us that do not know metric. Not a problem though. I found another lady that is very similar and she has sub titles for the measurements. Some cute bags too.
