Why was France charging a penalty?! The penalty and clock should have been retaken! The standard set by World Rugby for their referees is shocking. This is the 2nd game in a row France get away with murder!
Disagree, nothing wrong against Scotland, you couldn’t see the ball on the line, therefore on field decision stands. Yes 99% sure it touches the lime but referees followed the law book just as they should. Cant bend the laws for when you want.

It's down to the on field decision - in Scotland's case the on field decision was no try, and the TMO said there wasn't enough evidence to overturn it, despite also saying that he could see the ball was grounded. In the France one the on field decision was try, and there wasn't enough evidence to overturn.
With all of that said, for a knock on to happen, the ball has to hit the ground after the player has fumbled it forwards. If you watch the TMO replay, Ollivon juggles it once, then it bounces off the head of the French player underneath him, then kind of back into his hands, then is grounded. I'm not convinced he really had control of it, but because the on field decision was try, the benefit of the doubt goes to France in this instance.
It's all very subjective, and open to interpretation and bottling of decisions.
I'm Scottish, and still gutted about the France game, but we've only got ourselves to blame. We had enough chances in the second half to have put the game away, but didn't take them. And for Scotland, relying on a referee or TMO is always an exercise in futility...
That water guy at the end was a disgrace. Why on earth is he there? France could well be bottom of the table, very lucky with that rushed penalty today and the non-try at Murrayfield. It's stunning how quickly they have disintegrated without Dupont and Ntamack

Je pense que le problème de nôtre équipe de France vient de certains nouveaux membres du staff. Non des joueurs. Les joueurs expérimentés et talentueux, même sans eux, on arrive à s'en sortir. Plein de match l'ont prouvé. On a gagné en Australie en 2021 avec une équipe en carton. Sans Dupont. La finale de la coupe d'automne des nations en 2020 contre les anglos, on l'a perdu de peu avec andrew brace qui nous la mise à l'envers. On avait pas de dupont à cette époque là.

When I was a kid Ireland were nearly always getting the wooden spoon. And look at us now. Just saying i love the Italian spirits. They keep getting knocked and bounce back. One day Italy could be a force to reckon with. So keep going. Great fighting spirits

I think they might have been carried by Antoine dupont, because France should not be scoring only 13 points against Italy. France has the talent to be competitive every year which tells me it’s not the players, it’s the management.

Even though I support France in rugby but this game I give a lot of credit to Italy. The way the Italians played and defended their line was good.
France team attempted/faked a chargedown to a PENALTY, there was a waterboy on the pitch... and that first French try was non existent. These shenanigans are getting ridiculous, I expect World Rugby stepping in. Inexperience by the ref unfortunately showed.

As italian fan, I am so happy and proud for my Italy. We missed the final kick, but honestly I have to say that this draw is the right result ufficio we watch at the performance of the two teams. We are very close to the top teams of Europe (except Ireland, that is extrterrestrial...) and this is a great thing. Forza Azzurri, avanti così.

Thanks everybody. It is so important for us Italians that the Masters of European (and not only European) rugby can say "Well done, Italy". Now, our mission will be to maintain an important level like today and like the match with England (match with Ireland was not so bad, the problem is that this Irish Team comes from another planet) and it is not easy at all...Scotland is another super rock and then Wales, other excellent team.

That penalty was easy af, no professional kicker could be distracted by people standing in front of him. They are to blame for this horribly shaky tee they're using btw, when Page-Relo kicked his own penalty he struggled to put the ball correctly on top of it. But hey, rugby's the new football, so whingeing at the ref has become the standard.

Despite the unfortunate set of circumstances that led to the missed penalty at the end, Garbisi can be proud that he slotted that difficult conversion after Capuozzo's superb try to level the game. Good to see Garbisi have a wry smile at the cruel twist of fate at the end. Also, fantastic to see Italy come back from being 10-0 down so early. Granted, playing against 14 men helped but Italy have proven they're not a 60 min-side anymore, they play hard until the end.
Hopefully, Italy will become a great rugby nation soon ❤🏉🥇🏆

The ball fell of the tee at only 10 second remaining from kicking. It was a miracle he hit the post. However that kick should have been repeated, rugby law n°22 opponent players should never run at the kicker to not disturb him. The refree was not knowing the rules

Utter disgrace. The ref should have played advantage to see if the kick went over and then re-awarded a penalty for one of two offences - either running at the kick or standing within 10 metres.

I dont complain about refs, and i still think this was a decent refereeing performance but I do believe that the first try is a knock on as it hits Italy’s number 7 before he completely regathers the ball
