    To the ICU.

    The UC definitely has the coolest looking space suits. The dumpy-looking Freestar Ranger suit doesn't even compare to the UC military suits.

    I binge watched the entire series in the past week or so and I had a blast watching it! :D Now that I'm up to date with the episodes, however, I can truly feel the weight of those cliffhanger endings. XD

    Aside from the lack of paved roads, one thing I don't understand about Akila City, is why it has so many stairs. The planet Akila has 1.5 times the gravity of Earth. Just walking along level ground would be tiring, let alone trying to climb stairs.

      Everyone would have epic legs after living there for years. But yea the whole city design is borked.

      @1300BlueStar 4 місяці тому +4

      Simple really, even if the walls get breached you still have the high ground so your shooting down into the enemy instead of straight into. That and the designers were on cheap drugs so didn't do any research or even thought about it. Like the ones that thought you could get lung damage from argon while wearing a space suit or frostbite at -10 in a few minutes even though the suit your wearing is designed for -/+ 250 for hours.

    As someone that stinks at running while gunning, that sentinel perk, like the one on your red and black UC tiger suit, is quite nice. Catch a smile out there. o7

    I know you won't do it in the playthrough, but I would love to see him get together with Andreja.

    • @GophersVids
      @GophersVids  4 місяці тому

      If you have the cargo space for all the resources yeah. One thing that bugs me is that you can use the ships cargo resources from workbenches in your outposts, but not your outpost resources from the ship workbenches. THAT is a massive over sight in my opinion. But yeah, the workshop is about the only useful habitat other than the command center ones (to increase crew slots).

    The bullet sponges are real. I disliked those in FO4, Starfield did not improve a bit in that aspect. Guess that's what Bethesda considers a good gameplay nowadays.

      Imagine your surprise when you play any Dark souls game or Resident Evil or even Cyberpunk if you fight head on. Or really any game ever made uses health as a way of prolonging a fight. People like you make me want to address you in a way similar to how Andreja would.

    • @MrChipcho
      @MrChipcho 4 місяці тому +4

      @@nealderiggi3945 That is why I play Cyberpunk with headshots, takedowns and stealth which works perfectly. A thing you cannot do in this game as stealth is not a viable option due to how the AI works. Darksouls have an amazing gameplay, atmosphere and world which ties into bosses having huge health pools, not sure you can say that about Starfield. Cannot comment on resident evil, as I have not played it.
      And Andreja is the only cool character to have around in the game, so her addressing me is more of a compliment.

      The reason bullet sponges tend to be such a common mechanic used to increase difficulty is because that is generally what works best in game development, even though that might be a shocking realization for some. The reason for this is because increasing the NPCs AI/ability through a difficulty slider makes it much harder to develop and balance a game properly, especially in an RPG where levels would also play a factor. They need to make the game appeal to a wide audience, and so the base game is typically going to have NPCs that are relatively easy to take down, and then just increase their health, armor, and damage dealing for those who want a harder experience which tends to work for most players. Those who want a truly difficult experience are usually a niche.
      But the great thing about BGS games is, you can mod them to suit your own taste and make the game as difficult as you want.

    • @GophersVids
      @GophersVids  4 місяці тому +4

      I find 'spongy' difficulty easier to accept when it's fantasy, due to the idea that it might take several cuts to totally kill an enemy AND the fact that you're often fighting things that are either magical OR fantastically large. It's harder in games where you're fighting normal humans and shooting them with modern weaponry. However even in fantasy games there are moments where you look at a guy who is still hitting you with a two handed axe whilst an arrow is clearly stick through the center of his head .... :)

    • @MrChipcho
      @MrChipcho 4 місяці тому +1

      @@GophersVids Yes i get you, but wouldn't you agree that there is a way of making sponge mobs the right way even in fantasy games? A good way to mask it is to split the body in sectors where the head gets a high damage multiplier and a headshot or 2 will end someone or something, the body is the main health pool and the limbs can be broken to introduce more gameplay mechanics. When you have the same damage model applied to the player character as well it becomes involving, scary, engaging, interesting.
      As an example the "old" FO:NV, and new Helldivers 2 games manage sponge mobs quite well by rewarding skill if you want to dispatch a high health mob fast (headshots, limb shots), or if you don't want you can shoot centre mass and kill it by going through the whole health pool.
      I am not trying to "hate" on Starfield, I'm just saying that it does not feel right when fighting enemies, the RP with the NPCs, the quest consequences.... I expected way more from Bethesda, though I guess I should have seen where they are going after the release of FO4.
      Hope dies least they say.

    So Im not watching this lp due to me not being a fan of Starfield myself…can anyone recommend other UA-camrs that play games with similar role playing styles like Gopher? (Immersive)

    • @ColoradoKidTV

      I have not found anyone that truly role plays, fully immersed into the character, as Gopher does. A few suggestions 1) Gopher has some other great series similar to this such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Kingdome Come Deliverance. 2) Others that I really like (and remembering Gopher's style is my favorite) are Materwelonz (Welonz), ChristopherOdd and Liz XP. They are mostly clean language and fun. Whereas Gopher truly stays in character, Welonz is more like sitting next to your best friend while she plays. ChristopherOdd is a combination of both. I watched Gopher and Welonz series on The Forgotten City and Horizon Zero Dawn - and both were fantastic in those games just different styles.
      Best is probably just go to Gopher's channel and select another Playlist. Have fun and May You Walk on Warm Sands. 🙂

      @@kaidorade1317 Glad that helped. Horizon Zero Dawn is a fantastic series and much shorter than the epic RDR2. Note: Gopher's Horizon Zero Dawn was actually done as a stream (not my favorite style at all) and then edited to be a YT lets play series . Gopher did an excellent job of editing out chatter, by pausing at campfires while chatting then editing those parts out, etc and feels more immersive as the videos progress. But it will feel a little less immersive-style than others at times as a result (only a little). Still, Horizon Zero Dawn in one of my favorites of his (although I am biased as HZD is my personal favorite game).

      And let us not forget the amazing Skyrim LPs. Been following since before the tale of Richard the Librarian. My favs so far are definitely Richard and RDR2, though the current Cyberpunk has been rather good too I must say.
