I used to be neighbors with Steve's uncle and aunt and they are great people his aunt Wilma French was a great lady who passed a way few years back I know its not the same without Steve but life must go on. I was a mascot Tennessee native myself which is where they are from.
what you forget when you watch this in 2024 is how new this was at the time. you say wait a second new? yeah i said new. in 95 they had steve lacy singing lead. i want to say they had a different tenor the other david that sang with them for a few y ears after rick left the group. but arthur had only joined in late 95 or early 96 during the offseason (dollywood's closed 3 months of the year) so this would have been relatively new for htem singing together depending on when in 96
In 1999 or so, I think, Jeff Stice became the Piano player for The Kingdom Heirs. In 2002, Eric Bennett (The Bass Singer), David Sutton (The Tenor Singer), & Jeff Stice (The Piano Player) suddenly left The Kingdom Heirs, hooked up with Clayton Inman (Lead Singer), and his son (Which became the Baritone Singer), & These five guys became known as Integrity Quartet. However, in 2005, Integrity Quartet changed it's name to Triumphant Quartet. When these three guys (Eric Bennett, David Sutton, & Jeff Stice), suddenly left The Kingdom Heirs, Steve French, the owner and Baritone Singer for The Kingdom Heirs, was absolutely shocked, stunned, and then became furious that these guys had suddenly bolted from the group, in order to form their own group! However, Jeff Chapman filled the Bass Singer slot, and I think Adam Harmon filled the Piano slot. Then, Jody Hosterman came in at the Tenor slot, and was with The Kingdom Heirs until 2004-5, when he was replaced by Billy Hodges, who was with them until 2010 or so. Then he left, and was replaced by Jerry A. Martin, an excellent Tenor Singer that had sung with the Kingsmen Quartet from 1998-2002.
Does someone want to tell me how in the world you go from having no hair to having a head full? LOL...Arthur has no hair here but has a whole head full now...LOL...Love these guys!
I was just thinking the same thing. He was with the kingdom heirs in 1994 r 95 na he had no hair then either. Now he's got a great head of hair. Maybe Bosley? Something to think about tho
Yep! Dark hair, a Moustache, and about 22+ years younger, sooooo...yeah. Hard to believe that no one is left from this Vocal lineup, in the group. Arthur Rice retired from the group earlier this year. Loren Harris had to go from singing Baritone to singing Lead for the group. The one saving grace, is that the Pianist, Andy Stringfield, can sing Baritone, so the Kingdom Heirs are still in good shape. Personally, I'd love to know why Arthur Rice left the group. Maybe he felt like moving on... Anyway, at least they're still together. They need to pull in a new Lead Singer, so Loren Harris can go back to singing Baritone, and Andy Stringfield can go back to just playing Piano. We'll see what happens, though...
Sister, it is the same product used when you have that sunday morning late for church bad hair day and you reach for your Rene` of paris or Gabor hair pieces and head in to church.
Have a good day UA-cam buddies. You can't do anything without Jesus. My house looks good so time to face the world. God bless everyone. +That's lady talk. I only have an apartment.)
When i wake up to sleep no more. I will be glorifying my Lord Jesus. You will find me praising my Lord Jesus for saving a wretch like me.

The vocals are incredible but the keyboard player deserves an honorable mention.
Eric Bennett!!! Fantastic bass!!!
Wow, Dave Price must've had a bad day when he was commenting on here. Great song and a great group singing it too!
Little David is a good tener singer
A young David Sutton and Eric Bennett they both are now members of The Triumphant Quartet
Who is this bass? It doesn't looks like to be Jeff Chapman.
@@nivaldo758 The Bass Singer shown in this video clip, is Eric Bennett.
Ah, David Sutton singing the tenor line back in 1996 with the Kingdom Heirs before Triumphant Quartet made its debut.

I met them in Dollywood!!!!
Jordan Giannini Same!!
RIP Steve French..
There are certain songs you have to be able to sing or you can't call yourself a Gospel quartet this is high on the list
there are some songs in southern gospel that have very similar tunes lol
Two of them later formed the
Statler Brothers. They are Steve Sanders & Willie Wynn.
Steve Sanders and Willie Wynn were both members of the Oak Ridge Boys and Sanders (RIP) didn't come along until the country years.

Hair Club for Men
Steve & his current girlfriend at the time committed suicide by jumping off a bridge where they lived
Rest In Peace

Arthur has much more Hair now. lol
and?
I like this version of KH. Is David stacked on the last coupla notes?
@cpcc1983 what are you talking about?!?!?!?
i think thats Arthur Rice singing an off note and not David being stacked
Who is the lead of the group?
The Lead Singer shown here, is Arthur Rice. He would've been about 33 years old, in this video clip.
Have you heard of Hair Club for Men? LOL! He's not the owner, but he is a member.
what does this have to do with the song sung?
He is talking about the partially bald guy.
Arthur's secret. Lime and fertilizer
Lol, is this song supposed to sound suspiciously like "I'll have a new life"?
you are hearing things... better clean the potatoes out of your ears
I had the same thought the first time I heard this song, the verses sound similar
Actually Dave, it does kind of sound the same. I wonder if they had some inspiration from the song or not.
hahaha.
