@@easonadventures Interesting video. I remember the Gulf Queen from my younger days. When I first started going out deep sea fishing out of Clearwater Marina in 1968, diesel at the fuel dock was 18 cents-a-gallon and when it went up five cents to 23 cents-a-gallon in 1970, everybody complained. In late-1969, the "Double Eagle II" started running daily high-speed 6 AM all-day trips far offshore and nobody thought anything about running 60 to 90 miles out each day to lucrative fishing grounds. Those 11/12-hour trips bringing in huge grouper are a thing of the past and only ongoing conservation/fish management will save the Gulf of Mexico fishery. With diesel currently over four dollars-a-gallon, a trip like that abovementioned would be extremely expensive.
@@easonadventures Check out the "Flying HUB 2" down at Hubbard's Marina. It sounds like exactly what you are looking for in regards to a private charter, high speed vessel and getting far offshore to deep water and returning the same day.
Yeah unfortunately private charters are just too expensive. I agree you get what you pay for. Had plenty of action though and the white snapper are delicious!
Using all them hooks is great until you get one stuck in your hand ! I fished all day with one stuck in my hand because of an over zealous mate pulled the fish I was unhooking out of my hand and drove the bottom hook to the hilt in my left thumb ! After that I use one hook with the barb mashed down ! And what are guys catching bait ?
It’s a party boat so you get what you pay for as far as quality fish and with 50 other people dropping lines at the same location more hooks equals more bites. It’s a fun experience but I would love to get out on a private charter and on to some bigger fish.
@easonadventures What does that have to do with a passed off deck hand pulling the fish away while the guys trying to unhook it . Depending upon the demeanor of the dick hand I'm sueing the boat and the dock.
I'm sure they have their spots they hit over and over again. Somewhat limited by how far out they can get in the big slow boats. Private is where it's at if you canbut its still fun.
Those party boats don’t go out far enough to catch those big groupers
Unfortunately true. Would love to do a real charter and get in some good spots but those have gotten very expensive so I do what I can.

You could try the 39/44 hour trips at Hubbard's, not sure if I can handle that. Lol.
@@MrCliffda3rd I heard about those. I think I would rather figure out a way for a faster boat and a private charter to take me farther out.

Go out in these boats if you want a boat ride, too catch fish that you will take home, not so much.

You know what though, it's fun to do. Avoid the everyday bs, relax on the gulf, and catch fish.
😍😍Beautiful and wonderful 😍😍
It was a nice day on the water for sure
Hope you didn't pay much for that charter!
I accept donations for a charter boat. Lol

Is that what they call deep sea fishing .? Where’s the GUN. Lol😢
It’s a party boat so you get what you pay for. It’s still a good time and got quite a bit of fish for a family fish fry.
Bad captain

Yeah its still a lot of fun with consistent action. Definitely not as good as a private charter.
