As a cost savings measure two coats maybe preferred in areas such as the garage and occasionally the basement, based on the limitations of the project.

@threesteps drywall can you use hot mud for leveling? Or all purpose would be best?

How can I hear you with the music? Do I really have to add subtitles and turn the volume off? This music added to UA-cam videos is such a problem. I want to learn something, not attend an online concert. Argh.
