@@magicorthodoxy I hear ya. Maybe a thinner surface padding would do the trick, but then again I'm no engineer or designer ..lol!!.
that was my same thought. a tri-fold would be perfect. didn’t think of the extra bulk.
Isn’t there a tri-fold option on the website? Or maybe a larger size? Been a while since I’ve been on but I’m pretty sure one of those two options exist.

HEY David, great review as usually. I got one of these matts years ago, and still use it.... love it and I regret that I only bought one, now that are out again Iam ordered a few colors... they are great quality and practical.... you can use it in routines like Chop cup, TCC mini cups and balls , any spectators cut to the aces, 3 card monte, haunted deck, twisted sisters ,etc just to name a few...if you do close up magic,you need this
