Is that the best way to sweep the liner?

If I"m getting smoke out of the underneath of the top right corner would the most common problem be a faulty gasket?

We have had a terrible time with this stove with no way to reach anyone at the company. We are burning dry wood and yet the cat is clogging terribly every couple weeks and leaking smoke into our house out of the seams of the stove. It also clogged the screen at the top of the chimney when we had just recently had it cleaned also. When you load it smoke pours out the front door. I believe we have a defective one as the cat looks compressed somehow. I had heard they had problems with certain years but this stove has been a terrible disappointment and the customer service and tech help is absolutely non existent. As I write this, we are warming our house with electric space heaters because we can't light the stove and the company we bought it from is not honoring the warranty.

Hi, did you end up getting this figured out? I was considering this stove. Thank you for the comment.

I've been a chimney sweep for quite a few years. I have a "knockoff" woodstove from Lowes, I love it. And you don't need a stinking ratchet set to clean it, or sweep its flue.
You only need 2 hands like 90 percent of the stoves out there. Even the expensive free standing Napoleon has a 2 light weight baffle system which removes in about 1 minute. Done deal, ready to sweep and clean. Also, imagine how frozen those bolts inside that stove become after being exposed to thousands of degrees of heat time and again.
That thing here is bs junk. Do your homework people. There's no reason to ratchet and set screw off the top of the stove.
We call it an "engineering defeat".
Even the "over" engineers who designed it would never want to maintain it, never mind us chimney sweeps. Shove that junk where the sun never shines. JODEL THIS.😡

This doesn't work at all. I'm highly disappointed in this stove and its complete lack of serviceability.

To bad it never goes down right like that especially if you have taken out the cat and cleaned it. The whole refractory and cat set up is garbage on this stove, nothing fits right back together. I would never had gotten this junk stove if I knew I'd need to have a tech come to the house to put the top back on. Jotul = JUNK.

Heck, the techs don't even want to do it. A stove should be servicable without an overhauling procedure.
