I just slap a Mio (the sport version) into my water source and call it a day, I feel great drinking it during and after a workout or being out in the heat for most of the day. Calorie free as well.

NOOOOOO do not just put sodium chloride in your water , table salt is what gets most people in trouble with high blood pressure use a complete salt like himalyan pink salt or celtic sea salt that has over 80 minerals including magnesium.

unless you're eating 40 grams of salt a day then you're not doing anything.
himalayan pink salt is the same. you'd have to eat an astronomically large amount of salt to see any benefits. your argument is stupid

Also don't use table salt as they say. It has iodine which will spike your blood pressure. Use a healthy salt like "Real Salt" by Redmond (sourced in the USA) or a pink Himalayan salt. But Redmond also makes an unflavored electrolyte called RE-LYTE which is without sugar and the bad for you flavoring additives.

Yeah if you drank it constantly everyday as your only beverage.... This is supposed to be used to replenish minerals you use up and sweat out after a hard workout. Not meant to be made everyday for casual enjoyment.... And realistically it doesn't even have the damaging effects as it does to those drink very high in sugar. Soooo idk I think you're overreacting a bit over something you were literally told you could adjust the ingredients on.

@@SakuraMoonflower Majority of sweat is sodium aka table salt, so replenishing with a saline solution of table salt with some sugar is highly effective; best would be an electrolyte powder which includes potassium, magnesium, and calcium salts, something that most of your favourite electrolyte drinks don't possess in correct doses.
