Way to go! 6,000 words for day 1 is awesome. I'm currently at 8,690, and I still need to get started for day 3...but instead I'm doing things like watching people sing NaNoWriMo songs on UA-cam. It's very inspiring. *nods* I've added you to my buddy list (Marie Landry). PS - Thank you for the reminder at the end to be awesome...I'd forgotten to do that today.
I don't know how you managed to get that much writing done. In two days, I've only managed 3,759 words. Congratulations on a job well done! As far as the National versus International goes--even in other Countries, it's still National... for them. So NaNoWriMo still works no matter where you are.
Congratulations on all of your new subscribers! I always thought you should have way more than you do. I think more people are keeping up with the NaNoWriMo tag this year? I know I certainly am obsessing over refreshing it all the time... Your enthusiasm in this video reminded me of "Jessica's Daily Affirmation" Yay hiragana sheets! I like your tako (hopefully that doesn't sound suggestive >.
I challenged myself to watch all of the Japanese dramas alphabetically and I am still in the A's LOL but working on it. Hana Yori Dango was the first one I watched, too! I love Hana Kimi (you might have seen the Korean version). 1 Litre of Tears makes you cry one litre of tears! A Sleeping Forest was suspenseful with a really hot stalker guy. Absolute Boyfriend = robot boyfriend! Aishiteru had a child murderer, so sad. Etc, etc, etc... THEY ARE ALL AMAZING AND MAKE ME FEEL MY FEELS T_T
My friend was telling me about booktube, and she recommended you, so I subscribed after I fell in love with your wit...does that sound cheesy? ...Would this be considered a run-on sentence...hmmm...
I just suscribed to you because you simply rock. I stumbled upon your videos as I was searching for NaNoWriMo videos...But I'm not partcipating this year, my life is tooooooo busy. But I'm writing nevertheless:)
Congrats. My day 2 was sad. Only 118 word for Nov 2nd. Just one of those days where the kids won't give me any peace. *sigh* Well all I can do is pick up my pen and write. Hope you have a amazingly productive day 3. Good luck! :D
I totally relate, though! I have learned a lot of Japanese phrases from watching J-dramas. The repetition of hearing "tadaima" or "chotto matte" just basic stuff it sticks and makes it a lot easier to learn later on, for real. Doesn't count as real studying but it is still educational entertainment.
not really. once you learn it it's quite simple. besides, theres only 110 pronounciations in the japanese language, but english has at least 8000. poor japanese people trying to learn english... so many new sounds. i feel bad for them.
WOOHOO! Well done on your words for Day 1! :D
I was watching your vlogs from last year back to back.. so now it's weird that I have to wait each day!
Anyone else re-watching these throughout the month as if they were posted today instead of 4 years ago? Just me?
So glad I'm not the only one haha.
It's a great stand-in since I already watched through 2014 and she's not doing daily vlogs this year.
me too thanks
me too! i do it every year. i love old school kat so much (not that i don't love current kat too)
Me too! Haha

It is probably a good thing though.. Otherwise I would waste a couple of days just watching your videos - you are so entertaining!

6 000 words????? My best is between 800-1000!!!!!
I'm learning Japanese before my trip there this summer and my goodness the alphabet is horribly confusing...I feel like I'd rather learn Korean...
not really. once you learn it it's quite simple. besides, theres only 110 pronounciations in the japanese language, but english has at least 8000. poor japanese people trying to learn english... so many new sounds. i feel bad for them.
