I love Leonardo. I made a live action horror short film and I used Leonardo for makeup effects enhancements and the Leonardo team has now made me a part of their creator program as a result.

Congrats! I love Leonardo AI as well. I made and sold movie-like cinematics with just its picture to motion feature!
I don't work for them, they reached out to me after I was featured in a couple of articles about the use of leonardo in vfx. The creators program gives you early access to new tools and bonus credits.

I love the closing line, Tim, you're soooo goood at this lol. seriously, I've been back at messing with Leo, the quality is much better than when I first dabbled in it, and I gotta say I can't wait to see the newer vid camera control stuff and see how the output results improve. It's only goin to get better from here and that my friends is super exciting for people like me :)
Lucky day - I fire up UA-cam and see a Theoretically Media video HOT off the presses, just 9mins old when I clicked. I've been spending so much time following MidJourney youtubers and very little on Leonardo, but it really has come a long way. They seem to have the sort of interface that MJ is struggling to stand up with their still alpha website, so I'd say they are actually ahead in that sense. I think I will kick the tires during the free Alchemy window - thanks for the nudge, Tim!
oh excellent! You are exactly who I was meaning to make this video for! It's long been on my list as "Leonardo for the Midjourney User" as a title!
I've been a fan of both for the last year-- and I pop back and forth. They've both got their strengths and weaknesses, but combined, I think you can end up with some pretty stellar results.
Totally agree on the Alpha Website-- I just went to go check that out today and it wasn't working? No idea what is going on.
An interesting way I have been using Leonardo's Realtime Canvas is as a kind of image stylized with imagination. I made a bunch of badges in photoshop and described them in the Realtime Canvas as being made from fabric, with embroidery and stitches and what have you. Renders unique results (and you can paint away if you want things extra or gone. I have also used it to have a simple Illustrator file look like a cookie (again with a logo) or have cut out letters in a piece of Salmon. Things like that would have taken me hours in Photoshop, Blender, etc. Now it is, with a little preplanning, live reimagining of elements. In my promotional materials it looks great.
I love all the realtime stuff! That's a really cool use case for it! I'm going to experiment with something tomorrow where I try some animation stuff with it. To be clear, it'll be rough-- but I think it might be interesting!

For sure! Give it a shot, particularly while free! And, this kind of got undercut in the video due to a bad take, but if you have previous Leo images, you can always take them and give them a “cleanup” with Alchemy as well.
It’s a good option if you have some old generations you like, but look a little dated now!

Thanks for making this video Tim. I just randomly decided to check back into Leonardo and saw that alchemy was free this week. I was playing around with the photorealistic feature and I like it. I like some of NSFW ish stuff you can do with it. Don't judge me. lol You can't even do lingerie on Midjourney. I'm like come on. But if you had to use only one forever, which one would you choose between MidJourney and Leonardo? I'm already paying for MidJourney and debating should I add Leonardo in the future.
I flat out gave up on Leonardo because after making one model and rendering on it, I now can't use that model again, and I can't make more. It seems to limit you to one when the interface is working, and limit you to zero when it's not. Unable to base my renders on a sample picture, it's kind of useless. So I switched to other image generators.
Top class as ever, Tim, thank you. I've made three video promos using Leonardo and have been very impressed with the results. What is the optimal platform for AI fiommaking in your view? I find Pika very blurry (enjoyed your polar bear in the street tutorial!) and Kaiber but for me neither of them compare to the image quality and mostly stable parallax of Leonardo. Be good to hear your recommendation. Thanks again.
So, the last one I did a video on Pixverse (ua-cam.com/video/v-V8hVv2veE/v-deo.html) is pretty stable as well-- and FREE! In general, that seems to be the current issue: You can do Stable, but limited motion, or motion and things get wonky.
From what I'm seeing, I think within a few months that problem will be solved. In the meantime, I'd say just keep experimenting and have fun.
I am going to do a bit of a "tips and tricks" on AI Video pretty soon-- I've been collecting a lot of ideas there!

I liked Leonardo, but I think the NSFW filter was ridiculously sensitive. The UI was not that intuitive, either, with various options not that well explained, and the canvas editing I gave up on getting to work.
Haha, yeah-- I do think the addition of the top level boxes for Image Generate, Real Time, and Motion are helpful-- but, it is still a bit of a confusing mess. That's in part why I made this video.
On the NSFW side-- yeah, I think Leo and MJ struggle with that-- but admittedly, early on with Leo, it was also out of control. I mean, there was a LOT of NSFW popping up on the community feed.
The balance isn't quite there yet though...
I'm an idiot with computer's. But I get around Leonardo nsfw with ease. Dall-E3 gave me a NO for "thick eyelashes"
Leonardo has a lot of faults. I believe it just celebrated 1 year anniversary. It's rated highly for a reason.

They do! I think the lower tier one is $10/mo when you go annual. So, $24 saving. I presume the others would have the same percentage.
unfortunate ,i cannot create consistent character short folktale videos all throughout the process. all it provides is bunches of strange different looking image appearances even if using the image character mode, all it does is to generate the image facing the camera full time and unable to generate prompts such as distances ,playing or walking ..very exhausting. .

Likely not. But you can locally install the underlying image generator, which is SDXL.
From there, it really is all about what Leo has trained on, which is a LOT of data.
So, you could totally do it, but you’re gonna need a pretty big hard drive!
No presents for users that pay though!
Not gonna lie, that occurred to me as well.
the thing that sucks about Leonardo though is its gallery features are horrible - you can't mass download anything - i made 1000s of images at the beginning and now they are kindda held hostage or i have to go back and click on each image to put into the download que - still a year later and u cannot do a 1 click per day download - its absurd - and forget about trying to even see the stuff u did a year endless scrolling to get back there
I think if you go to personal feed you can click on something towards top of the page and select all the ones you need and they will download them altogether rather than download each individual one
@@johnphazey3051 no you cannot - u can activate the download feature in top right but then u have to click on each picture to put into the zip so if you have 5000 images you have to click 5000 times - you cannot hold shift and pick an image lower and it selects all - or anything like that

It really is. Although, it HAS improved!
Do not use Leonardo, they block your account and keep your personal photos used to create a private model. They also cut off all communication without having the possibility of contacting them.
Are they violating the Terms of Service by using your uploaded photos? As far as I know, all the image generation offerings "learn" from their users this way. How about Zoom who updated their TOS to say they reserve the right to use your likeness and voice...now that is disturbing.
Have you tried their Discord? They’re pretty good about communicating there

@TheoreticallyMedia Not sure if they backtracked on it after sliding that in late last year, but I was on a conference call yesterday and there was a weird moment where we had to accept the AI Assistant terms or we'd be muted. I looked like crap so have at it, fools...

@@snazzyd8866 What I know is that they have blocked my account and have kept my personal photos used to create a private model and I also know that I have all the rights to the images created by me to which I also do not have access. I asked them to delete everything and delete my account and then they cut off all communication. I only give a warning to sailors.
