Thank you Elliot!… And the Cornell bird club! I think there’s about 100 or more videos on my channel and more to come! Southeast Arizona part two is almost done. Take care
That is the peak season for sure! But we never know what species of owls or winter finches will have because it’s different from year to year. But we do a “bird report” on our website at saxzim.org
I’ve recently discovered the joys of bird photography and this channel, and I’m most impressed with the high quality and wonderful mood of these presentations. Despite coming from an entirely different area (I’m in Toronto, Canada) these wonderful videos and the described species absolutely resonate with me. On the one hand I don’t understand why this channel doesn’t have 50,000 subscribers, but on the other hand, quality over quantity! Thanks very much for the educational and inspiring experience.
Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words Norman! Love to hear it! More videos coming. Christmas Bird Count season so I don’t have much time now but hope to have a couple new ones before the end of the year.
The quality of your videos never ceases to amaze me. The great grey, the mink, the saw whet all really amazing. The drawing of the wolf kinda made me laugh also xD. 150 visitors for a cold winters Saturday is a lot! Your videos make me want to visit too!
Loved the video, thanks for sharing Sparky, we watched the Hawk Owl March 8th and 9th, we know it was there on the 7th, sitting on the same stick! JReed
I'm 95% certain I've seen a hawk owl in that exact same deciduous tree on Highway 7, a couple years ago just before the pandemic began. Thanks for the great video -- a genuine glimpse into the beauty of the Bog!
Great footage Sparky. What an awesome and unique wildlife area. Just came across this place in the past week and absolutely have to get up here one winter!
Just found your channel today. Great work! I really enjoyed the videos I have watched so far. Beautiful photography, very informative, and just plain entertaining.
Thank you for another informative and entertaining episode Sparky. We especially appreciated the ethics component. Though at the end my feet and head were uncertain what to do. (Calif fans)
always great ..................thanks Sparky
Thank you, that was so fun to watch!
Great video!
Thank you, Tracy!
Amazing footage of the Great Gray and Mink. Nicely done!
Thanks Kevin! I really enjoyed my time with the Mink!
Love the mink video...and the Saw-Whet, Sparky!
Thanks Randy! Those were also my two favorite species from this episode :-)
Such a good video. Overload of amazing sightings! 👏👏👏 great job talking owl ethics too!
Thank you Gabe! Appreciate the comments.
Hey there! Just came across your videos and love them. Cheers from Cornell's Lab of O / Cornell Birding Club!

Ha!! I did forget my “outro tag line”! Oops. Thanks for your kind words!
Great selection of owls. Do they all live in your area?
Yes! All filmed in the last month. 10 species of owls have been recorded in Sax-Zim Bog
Just had to look up subnivean zone, so I guess you can teach old folks new and interesting words!
Good deal Susan! And it’s crazy that even in late April there is still enough snow to have a subnivean zone! :-)
