The progress y’all are making with this new big block and how fast y’all are getting it dialed in is remarkable LOVE too see cleetus winning keep it going brother
1.25 60ft isn’t what I would call dialed in. They did a 1.16 on the first 6 second pass. Mainly what they are doing here is just throwing power at it past the 60ft to go fast. If they actually dial it in on a good track they should be running 6.80s to 6.70s with that mph.
@@philb5593 it’s more so the fact that they are running on a completely different motor. If you don’t have a good team or knowledgeAble members on the crew that in some cases can take weeks and even months to prevent spinning and still running good passes or other issues a new motor could bring. It’s not dialed in but there getting there and what is impressive is how much progress they are making on those time slips on a brand new engine that’s completely different then before. But I got a better idea how ab we see your car run 6.80?
Maybe you can lift the chutes a little closer to the wing. Having them a tad higher it will be able to catch wind a bit more effectively 🤔 I think it'd help with the slowing down thing

Could probably walk to events lol
You should definitely go. It's pretty fun and everyone is nice
You're in the Promised Land now, brother!
Curious why you would move to Florida?
@@simpleman2004 Because it sure as BS better than the most of the other blue states out there..
Watching you guys go from barely running 10's a few years ago to being upset at not 6's is absolutely amazing to watch. Between yours and Kevin's channels I feel like we all have a personal connection to Mullet. Congratulations on the win this week and a big thanks to all of you for bringing us amazing content day after day. Keep on doing you and getting them trophies.
I also like that he can run 6's in a purpose built race machine, but is just as excited to get a almost stock police auction crown vic sideways around an oval. Really shows his character.
Kevin not afraid to give solid advice...... Shows the respect between the two of them.
... Also, Garret being mindful enough to not drive through that huge moment with the water...... Well done sir!
You know she's running well when cleeter hits the mid-run fist pump 14:26
Dang man. I remember the EARLY Leroy days when y’all were stoked about 170-180mph Awesome to see where y’all are at now!
With that engine cleet could get into the high 5s when the time is right
@@patrickr2686 i don’t think mullet’s chassis is capable of that :/
Lets not forget how heavy Mullet is...too heavy for 5's as it sits
@@patrickr2686 unfortunately the engine is not capable to take mullet into 5s, too heavy need more horses(smx).
@@390fe451 Thats what they said about 6's too.
I live a half hour or so from Dragway 42. It was awesome to finally get the opportunity to see you race in person (and witness your first 6 sec pass on a drag week). I've been around since back when you and Coop lived across the street from Ed, were putting whistles in exhaust pipes and yelling at people on the corner to do it for Dale. The channel's growth the past few years has been amazing to watch. Thank you Cleetus!!
Like I said in Kevin's video, that rear suspension shot of the launch and run is badass. Yall should do that more often 🤘. Good job dude that car is flying.
Makes you realize how sketchy the turn off was 😂
I do them on my channel often :)
You could see some smoke coming off the left rear
That big block makes it so much easier to go fast! Congrats on the runs! Sucks to see the Dodge truck hit the wall!! Those trucks are cool and rare! Glad that sideways spin didn't cause you to hit the wall too!!! Did I hear that right you have another 10 psi and about 1,000 horsepower left on tap?? LOL!
Yeah that thing should have another 1,000 hp in it lol. But they haven't been to a track that could take a hit like that yet.
Cleetus McFarland is the hero we never knew we needed and the hero we don’t deserve. Thanks for all the awesomeness you deliver us almost daily.
HELL YEAH BROTHER!!!
👆👆YOU’VE BEEN PICKED FOR THE ONGOING GIVEAWAY.🎊🎉.
Smiles for Miles!! So exciting seeing Mullet go 6's on Drag Week and it's still such a young car in the fleet!! Kevin and Garrett winning races and smiling faces!!
Cleetus saying “should have gave it more spice.” 2 seconds later. “I almost didn’t have enough time to slow down” hell ya brother🤘🏼
6.99 @208…….you guys ain’t sleeping anymore…….what a blast….. congrats you Guys and Mullet……👍🦅🇺🇸🏁👍🦅🇺🇸🏁👍🦅🇺🇸🏁👍🦅🇺🇸🏁
Started watching this channel when sourcing first scrap engine for Ruby, Just tuned into BBC's top gear (in UK) and there's the freedom factory in all its glory. The kids done well👍
I just can’t get over how absolutely effortlessly this SM big block is performing. It sounds so tame compared to the LS. Also seeing Cletus eyes when his car went sideways was a heart stopper. Glad you kept her safe!
It sounds tame because they haven't even turned it up yet lol. An LS would be screaming at the ragged edge, which is why they never lived long.
@@bobbygetsbanned6049 oh agree 100%. That’s what’s even more impressive. That motor yawns and pushes the 200+mph
@@solitudewoodworking Yup and it's only going to get faster the more they get it dialed. Steve can build a hell of an engine.
I am absolutely loving this collaboration with Kevin! I am addicted to both posts!!
I love how happy everyone at the track was for the 6 .. very well deserved, we are all so happy for you
When you get back home and can work on turning her up earlier and get that 60 and 330 ft down she's gonna be putting up some good number. Congratulations cleet you've been wanting that six on a drag and drive for a while
Plus Bradenton is such a solid track
From using tom baileys car to make a meme to being tom baileys serious competitor in drag weeks this mans has came so far.
He will never be a competitor of toms lmao not with a car that weighs a thousand pounds more than his promod and 1500 horsepower less not even in the same atmosphere more than a full second slower weight is almost as important as horsepower and drag racing if not more mullet is already amazing to do 6s at 3700 lb
@@freedomfox8183 You talk as if cleetus has built his last car and Tom hasn’t
Its hard to not get spoiled with the other channels uploading, but i always watch here first! Appreciate the grind to drive, film and edit all day!
I don't mind it if I l watch it elsewhere first, always great to get different perspectives
I like all the different angles, I'll watch em all. Its just a teaser when someone else puts the time, because then Im really looking forward to Kevins and cleets vids.
What other guys do you watch?
Honestly didn't even know there were other channels posting content until they started upgrading mullet. Everybody wants to see it
@@f4ctual422 yeah, and it's getting recommended in people's feeds
Its awesome when you have kevin with you on drag weeks! Kevin and your energy is awesome!
im so happy that mullet is finally performing like he should! good job guys!
Not me remembering this dude being stoked to go a 10. And now he’s out here running a 6.99
1:38 Those titanium pipes are sweeeet... the discoloring makes Tye's welds look even more amazing!
The cylinder bank with the HOT coils seem to color those pipes a bit darker?
@@GIDO74 unburnt fuel from the cylinders was probably burning up there and creating more heat
So awesome! The big block is doing it's job! To be able to run 6's in a streetable car is just insane. Huge props to Cleeter, his crew, Kevin and Steve Morris!
Try beefing up the grounds to the coil packs and run 8 1200uf 16v capacitors on the dc in wires. Might cleanup the signal and keep them from high making at high load.
May as well learn how to make cdi pack's!
Iridium plugs are a better option before playing with a professionals work....
They are already running 16V electrical, better go with a higher voltage cap if they do that.
how do the coils ground? are they grounding through the valve covers?
@@kschleic9053 (guessing) I'd say they're grounded through the harness. That's at least how I've seen MSD coils wired in the past. I didn't see anything mentioned during the install though so could be wrong. I've only built harnesses for Toyota 4bangers and the only V8 I work on is a 305 with a carb, so I'm no expert here.
Easy to make simple mistakes when you're rushing around. Real sad to see that lil' red express hit the wall 😢
Avoidable. Think the track crew cleaned up Mullets oil slick with KY lube...
😦
@@zrxdoug They mentioned the truck leaked its own fluid when it happened, also the video looks quick after mullet leaked but im sure that was over a hour or so before anyone got to run on the track again.
@@zrxdoug he did it to himself. Just like cleetus had water in his doors and caused him to almost crash.
Yeah, it's pretty clear now..
I'm a victim of editing.
@@zrxdoug Mullet's spray was well ahead of the truck accident. Had nothing to do with it.
It's crazy seeing how far you have progressed over the years. From running 10 second passes in Leroy when he was LSa blown, to piloting a 6-second car at nearly 210 mph, that is over 3,000 pounds, and are able to slow down for a shutdown that is maybe 1500 ft long. That's Force Family promod energy. You are killing it man. Congratulations and godspeed.
CONGRATULATIONS GARRET! & to all your crew for making such a bad ass drag car👍🏻 you know your going to have to bring it to Australia now & see how he stacks up at Summernats 💪🏻
I’m just glad Kevin is getting to be with the car for this. Dude is amazing
can we stop and appreciate the editing of the 6.99 pass, full coverage from start up to finish and multi angles
I love the contrast between the content on Kevin's channel and here when it comes to this week's videos. Great team.
I really liked the shot from the rear. Makes me appreciate just how much powers going through the car to the ground. Very cool and congrats on having an EASY 6 second car. Whata beast!
What impresses me most about Mullet is the dang thing has the aerodynamics and weight of a gold bar. I've had a ton of fun watching the journey to get Mullet to this level and happy for Cleeter and crew after watching them bang their heads against the wall with the old LS setup.
👆👆YOU’VE BEEN PICKED FOR THE ONGOING GIVEAWAY.🎊🎉.
That finish line Camera shot is amazing!!!! That thing definitely sounds like a full blown dragster now!!!!! Hell ya Brother!!!!
Cleet you are one Hell of a Driver!!
Kevin you Built one Hell of a Machine!!
Steve Morris Built one Hell of an Engine!!
Let's Freaking Gooooooooooo!! 🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸
@@philb5593 I'd bet once it's really dialed we'll see 6.5's, and a need for pro stock chutes.
Dude to see you smiling and just lit up and after them passes, makes me smile. It’s weird to be this connected to someone who doesn’t even know me.
Looks like Mullet is enjoying his new motor! Also I'd be willing to bet that the BIGGER BRAKES phone call has already happened. Still blows my mind that such a small brake can stop so well!
For real! That car isn't the lightest either, doesn't it tip the scales around 3400lbs
It runs TBM brakes which are damn hefty. Also TBM is owned by Motion Raceworks which Cleetus is part owner of. Gotta rep your own merch.
The reason today was the 1st 6 on a drag n drive was from that Buenos Dias in the Morning! Hell Yeah Brother! Congrats Cleetus!
Congratulations on getting into the 6's with the new setup. You can tell Both Cleetus and Kevin are happy with what they could finally accomplish.
That small block was screaming for dear life to run that 6. It’s wild seeing this big block barely break a sweat for it. There is definitely levels to this 🫡
And it has more on tap!!!!! 😳😳😳😳😬😬😬😬😎😎😎
only thing he has to worry about now is pushrods
@@picklefart no not nearly something to worry about just keeping up on maintenance will make all the difference .. that engine was barely stretching it's legs at all yet there's so much left lts crazy ..
Crazy to think what adding just over 100 cubic inches can do. Shows again; no replacement for displacement!
Yes! Check the cost of a Steve Morris engine program for proof. It’s mortgage level cash.
Absolutely stoked for you! Alot of hard work went into this from the boy's, all the sponsors and fan's that made this happen. Congratulations mate well deserved!
I love how you different people for different events, it makes for a perfect mix up of content and personalities, congrats on the first 6 in competition. Ohio home boy here, couldn’t be happier for you to make that accomplishment at a local track for home
me and my mother in law designed the asphalt when we redid the track we did a lot of investigating into other tracks that have a good reputation and put a lot of work into it , we were there while it was being paved monitoring compaction turned out nice but I hear she's a little short .
The following Cleetus commands is truly amazing. I KNOW I'm not alone saying I cannot get enough of this guy. Been following for about 5 yrs now. Every day when I get home I check for a new yt video lol. HELL YEAH BROTHER!!!!!!
So upsetting that red truck in the start of the video went into the wall. Thing looked sweet.
I thought cleetus was following him for a second
Saw that in Tom’s video too, what a bummer. Those are neat trucks.
Hopefully most of the damage is just sheet metal and the grille. That fender folded up pretty high.
Really sucks, wish the owner the best at getting it fixed to it's former glory.
@@williamstamper442 hopefully but I get the feel she might have a bent frame now, saying that those old trucks... Well they don't make em like they used too that's for sure
@@GrandDawggy If it is a bent frame, no big deal! Many frames have been rescued. These are racers. Fixing is part of the show.
Yay mullet let's go!!Now you can start hitting the 6's on the regular. That Steve Morris engine is a MONSTER and it's looks so effortless(except the braking of course).
I chuckled like Beavis at the "Holy Toledo", for a little too long. I'm a big kid LOL.
Great to see mullet putting a six down on a drag and drive. I can't wait to see what you can get out of him with more fine tuning and a really well prepped track. LETS GOOOOOOOOOO!
Mad respect for the amount of DRIVING that old Cleet is doing. From spinning, to water, to even his shutdown procedure. He is his hands full!!!
You have came so far cleetus!!! So proud of you and the team. Yall deserve every single bit of what you guys got today :D

200+MPH puts Cleetus on the next level. Thanks for the good times.
Oh no, that little red express takes an "L" shortly after Cleetus filmed it.
That sucks! I think that was my 2nd favorite rig behind Mullet!
My brother owns one of those.

Was that the crash? Sucks either way, but I hope not.
I almost cried when I saw that. Those trucks are so beautiful. :(

I’d be there
We appreciate the grind boys! Great to see you all doing so well. Hope the Lil' Red Truck is repairable! Such a shame.
Sure it's repairable! These are hot rodders not modern insurance adjusters that freak out over a bent grille.
He cracked it pretty good, the frame could be bent. I understand even that's repairable.
