I don’t trust Naturium. The products I have tried aren’t all that bad, but some were misleading. If things were done the honest and right way, and some of the products not misleading, I believe that could be one of the top brands out there. Such a shame...
epic 7 that is correct. She even had a discount code and said negative comments about another company. She even played dumb and wondered what “their retinol” was like in her Vit C video
Kayla Lee oh wow. That’s horrible. I didn’t have any issues with anything. I didn’t realize the retinol was ethers and there was something about the Vit C that made me unhappy, but I can’t remember what it was. I’m not saying they did nothing, they would be good for someone younger. Not someone like me who will be 46 tomorrow and wants the hard stuff!
@@stephaniemcgowan2858 I feel like the only reason she was able to get away with that was because Skin Care UA-cam doesn't have drama channels like other sectors on the platform.

I totally agree with the Kylie Skin. I don’t think she’d use the products, I don’t like most of the things she came out with, and I hate how she completely rips off other companies. A walnut scrub?? Seriously? And makeup wipes? No way. Her sunscreen was the only thing that ever peeked my interest, but that fact that they clearly stole it from Supergoop really turns me off from trying it.
Supergoop didn't invent isododecane-based sunscreens, DOW chemicals did and they sell that isododecane+dimethicone crosspolymer blend by the trade name DOWSIL™ EL-8050 to anyone who buys a licence for it, sorry but it wasn't "stolen". Paula's choice uses it in their primer spf, Murad's invisiblur sunscreen uses it as well. That's like saying every micellar water with poloxamers is copying bioderma.

I think what Susan Yara did with Naturium was completely irresponsible, illegal and reprehensible. However (I know, I know) I wound up ordering their Marula oil from Amazon without realizing it was Naturium and I have to say it’s the closest marula oil to Drunk Elephant that I’ve found. I totally agree with the overall sentiment regarding Naturium though. Plus, I’m kind of over the single “superstar” ingredient serums anyway. I would rather pay more for a well-formulated serum with multiple ingredients/actives that work well together.

Except KORA Organics to me. KORA's line is overall very decent, and I can see the founder Miranda Kerr really puts her heart & soul into that brand. She started that brand from scratch with the money she earned from her successful modeling career and it's the passion of hers. Unlike other celebrity skincare brands, I don't feel like she's just endorcing her name and start using other brands.

I used to use a Mario Badescu face wash until I had a really bad skin reaction. Then I read that they had undisclosed levels of hydrocortisone and triamcinolone acetonide that were actually higher concentrations than in the prescription ones on the market 😬 I can't take certain topical steroids due to allergies, so that probably explains why my skin started getting a peeling rash. I'm so happy you found this helpful, I'm working on a Part Two on this topic, sadly there is enough brands out there doing sketchy things. The only way to stop that is to be very cautious what brands we give our hard earned money to.
I sadly can longer trust Drunk Elephant. I had been using the Protini moisturizer for 2 years and it did amazing things for my skin! Then in february I ordered a new jar and I noticed the packaging was ever so slightly different (the cap was taller and the pump was looser) which was fine by me, until I put it on my face! For the first time ever with this product, my face started tingling then burning. I stuck it out for the night and then tried again in the morning after washing my face and the same thing happened, so I ordered a new jar in hopes I was sent a dud and the same thing happened with new jar too. Then my friend gave me her jar since it was not moisturizing enough for her very dry skin and I had no issues at all and I noticed that it was in the older packaging. I think they definitely changed the ingredients or percentage of the ingredients when they changed the packaging
OMG! The same happened to me. The original protini was amazing... then when I bought the second jar, the packaging was slightly different as well- slight difference in color. Did you notice that the new jar does not open (unlike the first) where you could check how much product is left! ?

Thank you for this video! 🌹 I don't trust Truly (the worst skincare brand on the market imo. All their products are trash). And I don't trust Naturium - I will never buy anything from them
I agree with you Sarah 100%!!! If it’s not on your channel I don’t trust it!! I know you’re always truthful and you don’t even accept sponsored videos which imo you should because you’re trusted and you should be able to make extra money for your time, effort and for Drunk Elephant protini peptide moisturizers lol 😆😘 I think brands that put people skin and health in harms way for a buck should cause their business to be taken from them because I know for people like me, I’ve worked so hard to get my skin to where it is today that if I had used a product that had unlisted ingredients in their product that affected my skin I would be furious and depressed 😢 Can’t even imagine. I don’t use these brands. It’s SUSPECT IF A COMPANY WONT GIVE OUT THE INGREDIENTS TO, then Houston we have a problem!!!!!!
This is a fantastic video! I would NEVER purchase from an MLM. I would also never purchase “homemade” cosmetics or skincare (Poor / ineffective R&D, often no preservatives thus resulting in spoilage), no real quality control, and also they often Cant access reputable ingredient suppliers so they end up with bastardized ingredients (even if they had the best intentions to use good / effective ingredients)
Very good point- sometimes, especially when it comes to active ingredients, it is better to find reputable brands that know what they are doing- especially with preservatives. It is unfortunate so many preservatives have been badmouthed to the point where no brands want to use them anymore.
Interesting video and I would definitely love to see more of these on your channel! Bring in the hour long rant videos lol. (Maybe a half hour) 😆 but honestly regardless of Kylie Jenner as a person, I enjoyed her sunscreen SPF 40 for the face. It is basically the same as Supergoop, but it leaves out frankincense essential oil which makes the Supergoop smell terrible IMO. I don’t think it’s “stealing” from Supergoop whatsoever. That’s just how skin care companies work, buy base formulas from manufacturers and add in other ingredients to make it unique.
Honestly, Skin care UA-cam needs drama channels to hold people accountable. It is unbelievable that Susan Yara was able to get away with the Naturium scam.
Wow, if you are talking about Frezyderm, I'm Greek and I used to love their sunscreen (I used chemical sunscreens at the time and didn't really check ingredient lists). If they don't provide an ingredient list that is sketchy AF and I'm not sure it is legal in the EU either. I'll look into it.
Ingredients list being proprietary? BS! They sell in Europe, they are required to list the ingredients list on the packaging in descending order just like every other brand! So stupid!
Ilia L I tried on some Karl Lagerfeld jeans at 70% off discount and was truly disappointed that there weren't small enough size left because those pants would have been so good looking... Tell me, is Karl a bad man?😬
Thats so true. I mean I'm gonna go off topic but recently I've tried the Chike nutrition shakes and I didnt really like them so I was gonna go leave a negative review and I get so surprised because they literally don't have any negative reviews and when I submitted mine I checked back to see if it was posted and nope the company did not post my review. Made me dislike them for doing that as I think that's so wrong to just delete negative reviews
thank you for this very informative video. i agree with claire's. they also have issues on using piercing guns that lead to infections and improper placements. i wish to see more of your rants :) love you from PH.
you are 100% coreect with mary kay being a pyramid scheme, the consultants are the actual end customer. I do not trust clean brands becuase they use fake fear marketing. I tend to stick to heritage brands without the drama, Like Estee, Clinique etc etc. Also do not trust celebrity brands, sooo boring, every celeb who launches a make up line brings out a palette and make up wipes ..how groundbreaking (sarcasm)
Drunk Elephant is another one that was being sued by L’Oréal. L’Oréal owns Skinceuticals & made a Vit C Serum that Drunk Elephant apparently copied & sold. This is mentioned in a video by Beauty Within from May 23, 2020- affordable Dupes for new product launches. At about 16:33, Rowena goes into the story about the pending lawsuit.
The guy that apparently created TRULY looks sooo sketchy too. He looked so high...shady in a video I saw of him. Yeah frezyderm is one of the most sketchy brands I’ve come across. I don’t even know how they’re allowed to do that I’ve almost picked a fight with them over messages because they wouldn’t tell me the ingredients of a sunscreen (which I later bought and found out it says nothing about UVB protection so that’s what I get every time I decide to give them a chance ...) and to this day it still pisses me off that everyone here in Greece is so willingly buying their stuff no questions asked! All I can assume is they don’t care at all about what’s inside the things they put on their face.. There’s not a single person here that doesn’t have at least one of their products in their house, dermatologists are even affiliated with the brad to a degree that I’m purposely avoiding visiting one if it’s not absolutely necessary cause I know they’ll just "prescribe" for me to buy more useless frezyderm products. We have access to tretinoin OTC yet dermatologists prescribe frezyderm and La roche posay products, this country is nuts I’m telling you.
This is an important video. With the amount of $ that companies sell their products for , I have to remain skeptical about all the outrageous claims and the possibility of fake reviews. Also, even though I tend to trust beautypedia reviews, they seem to have love affair with drunk elephant. It just so happens that the former Paulas Choice formulator is now the R&D director at Drunk elephant. Either there is a conflict of interest there or something else going on with whoever is writing the reviews at beautypedia. It just makes me go hmm…
Although I have not tried most of these brands, I am certain you're right and have no desire to use them! What about the trustworthiness of big brands? Do you really believe Eva Longoria and other famous actresses use L'Oreal? I don't for one second!
I'm so tired of brands using models who obviously get botox to try and sell their skincare. Why can't they just use regular people? Big Brands are an issue, Loreal is involved with Nestle, which is a huge issue for me, I'll be discussing that in my Part 4 of The Ugly Side of Beauty video next week.

Dude, I love you so so so much!!! You're a bad ass and so so so appreciated coming from a professional esthetician! Beautiful! Thank you, I agree on EVERY👏🏻 SINGLE👏🏻 POINT 👏🏻
Haha! Claire's! "Wouldn't buy anything for your dog from there." Love 💘you! Also, a lot of my clients use to be on Mary Kay, but I got them on a great medical grade brand....a big game changer!! Finally, I too will not purchase anything if they're not willing to disclose the ingredients!!!
Goop (by Gwyneth Paltrow). It's based on junky and questionable science. And her idea of a vagacial? Yikes.lol 😆
You look like a dewy mermaid
I'd appreciate an hour long video like this.
I have been looking for a channel like yours! Thank you for your honest opinion!
You look so beautiful! I love the earrings! I can’t wait to try your line I had no idea!
All valid! I don’t f with people with bad morals either, so no thanks to Kat Von D and Jeffree Starr
Lauren Nail I think Kat Von D sold her company, but I never heard what happened. Yes, I’m just being nosey now, lol!
@@stephaniemcgowan2858 yup she is no longer at all vested in the company
e f thanks. I don’t know any details at besides she stepped out
I love Kylies vitamin C serum lol totally a guilty pleasure 😂 the toner and moisturizer weren’t bad, just kind of generic stuff in cute packaging. Never tried the scrub, cleanser or wipes though.
I did try that vitamin c and I hate to say I didn't mind it either! Shh! 😬 Don't tell anyone else though!
This is very interesting and I would love to here more. Thank you for this info. Also, I agree with you 100% about Kylie cosmetics I seriously doubt she wears her own makeup lol
It is unfortunate so many preservatives have been badmouthed to the point where no brands want to use them anymore.
ingredient list is a MUST
I even emailedthem asking for the list and they wouldn't give it up... so strange!
Lime Crime 😳 I had no idea! Well I chucked out my new Unicorn hair dye and went for Lunar Tides...gotta support my home town 💚💙
What do you thibk of the ordinary? Do you think they have good quality control?
Honestly, Skin care UA-cam needs drama channels to hold people accountable. It is unbelievable that Susan Yara was able to get away with the Naturium scam.
Wow, if you are talking about Frezyderm, I'm Greek and I used to love their sunscreen (I used chemical sunscreens at the time and didn't really check ingredient lists). If they don't provide an ingredient list that is sketchy AF and I'm not sure it is legal in the EU either. I'll look into it.
2 min in the video and already love. Great video no bs beauty such a fan of your channel. God bless & have a wonderful day ❤
Very good information! Thank you for your video.
I'm a little skeptical of glossier just because of the hype
Ingredients list being proprietary? BS! They sell in Europe, they are required to list the ingredients list on the packaging in descending order just like every other brand! So stupid!
That's crazy. They are listed in the box and several sites. I have bought it twice: Isododecane. Octocrylene. Dimethicone/Bis-isobutyl PPG-20 crosspolymer. Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate. Diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate. Dibutyl adipate. Ethylhexyl salicylate. Bisabolol. Helianthus annus seed oil. Rosmarinus officinalis leaf extract. Disodium uridine phosphate. Ethyl ferulate. Dimethicone/Vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer. Caprylyl glycol. Glass beads. Polyglyceryl-5 trioleate. Silica.
Can you please do your own skin care routine!??? You have amazing skin!!😍
Thanks for being on this Chanel,we need more of these good review.
are you wearing foundation in this video? Your skin is glowing but if you are wearing some it is so skin like! Love your videos
Naturium, Skin Revolution, Huda, anything co-signed by Karl Lagerfeld - these brands are not going to have a whiff of me coins on principle
Ilia L I tried on some Karl Lagerfeld jeans at 70% off discount and was truly disappointed that there weren't small enough size left because those pants would have been so good looking... Tell me, is Karl a bad man?😬
Great content Sarah!! Your channel is one of my most watched. keep up the amazing work
Great content! It’s hard to find this type of video elsewhere.
Super helpful, thank you!!!
This makes me just question how much we can trust those ingredient labels since they are not verified and checked
LOVE your videos, i trust you so much, please review sephoras water gel mask, if it is comparable to Drunk Elephants F-balm. 💗💗
Hello. Love your videos. I'll love to see your impression on Naturium brand. Xoxo
Had bought the Frezyderm sunscreen but didn't like it because it dried powdery and I like a shiny glass skin finish.
This video is awesome, amazing, totally needed, the coolest, on point, five star, outstanding, fantastic.
Babe, I have the INCI list for the Frezyderm. I'll copy and paste it.
Yup love this video, love your content, keep it coming! ♥
thank you for this very informative video. i agree with claire's. they also have issues on using piercing guns that lead to infections and improper placements.
i wish to see more of your rants :) love you from PH.
you are 100% coreect with mary kay being a pyramid scheme, the consultants are the actual end customer.
I like Japanese skincare
Sarah did you know that by wish trend owns klairs, cosrx and others?
Drunk Elephant is another one that was being sued by L’Oréal. L’Oréal owns Skinceuticals & made a Vit C Serum that Drunk Elephant apparently copied & sold. This is mentioned in a video by Beauty Within from May 23, 2020- affordable Dupes for new product launches. At about 16:33, Rowena goes into the story about the pending lawsuit.
I have a feeling that is why Drunk Elephant recently "reformulated" their Vitamin C Serum- avoid expensive lengthy litigation with mega corp Loreal!
Thanks for your honesty.
The guy that apparently created TRULY looks sooo sketchy too. He looked so high...shady in a video I saw of him. I actually like their Star Body lotion because the ingredient list is really nice for a body lotion and not that expensive but yeah. I’m on the look out for something different now. I didn’t know about the lawsuit so thanks for informing us 👍
The Murad brand no luck with and it’s expensive.
I've found murad to be pretty hit or miss, more often misses, especially lately.
@@NOBSBeauty that's interesting, and good to know! I've been thinking of Murad, it pops up a lot in my feeds and emails, but I'm a little bit "meh" on the commitment to purchase. Would love to hear more about your thoughts on Murad!
Freezyderm's sunscreen is 50 dollars in the US?
I mean, it's a great product, but...
When you said "they don't show their ingredient list", first thing came to my mind was MDNA skincare. Their line is ridiculously overpriced (even considering Madonna's endorcement). Was curious to try that out but couldn't due to the price and the brand not being transparent.
I just started watching ur channel
I love it
ur skin is beautiful
Can u pls make video on The Ordinary products
I love this channel it's doing god's work in exposing the fake products unlike "esthetician" youtubers who are fake recommending every product to increase their commission
Hyrem
I can’t think of many actual estheticians that recommend everything? Usually it’s more skincare influencers who think they know more than they do
@@jordyrain9057 he is not an Esthetician, he is nothing! I’m an Esthetician, and I certainly don’t do that.

Great video! More beauty youtubers should do this!
Awesome 😎 video! Love it. ❤️ lots of love and appreciation from Bernadette in Australia 🇦🇺💞🌹
I hope you are doing well and staying safe there- I always smile when I see your name pop up!

Thank you - I’m glad. Please keep healthy, safe, and happy! God bless you, always. 🙏🏻💯🇦🇺❤️😘😘
Great video! Thank you for the service you provide💖
Thank you so much! So glad you find it helpful!
Doe deere did sell lime crime in 2018, was on the board of directors for a while, but as of this year is no longer.
I feel like getting skincare among many other things is sketchy on Amazon.
Wow, I always thought that ingredients had to be disclosed. Who knew 🤷🏻
Unfortunately the US doesn't regulate the skincare and cosmetic industries as they should, so a lot of companies are VERY dishonest about it 😒
I love your channel and this video was great 👍
Yeah frezyderm is one of the most sketchy brands I’ve come across.
Oh my gosh, your earrings are awesome!
I trust you Sarah! 🙋🏻♀️🤗❤️
Any thoughts on timeless organic skincare?
Completely agree with you!
Thank you.
You are so welcome!
No BS Beauty we see eye to eye! I won't buy anything from Nestle, including brands they own shares in like L'Oréal! They are evil!
One word for Eva "fillers"
Yess thank you best video I've seen
Your skin is glowing!
Thank you so much- you're too kind!
@@NOBSBeauty what are you wearing? It's gorgeous!
Great video please do more. Love the earrings !!!
what do you think of osmosis beauty?
Jesus I just realized my Agency skincare dark spot cream has hydrocortisone 2.5% in it 🤷♀️ I know it says on the bottle but I never even thought of it god I hope my skin doesn’t start freaking out
I wouldn't spend $2 on a product that didn't include the ingredient list. That's spectacularly poor customer service.
