- Former ANC president Thabo Mbeki says he has been heartened by how voters have received the ANC on its campaign trail in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal.
He has visited the grave and the family of the late ANC president, Inkosi Albert Luthuli in Groutville North of Durban, before moving on to the Ohlange School in KwaMashu, where another ANC leader, John Langabalile Dube lived and worked.
Mbeki addressed supporters in KZN.

There was a powerful South Africa between 1999- 2008. I was studying towards my degree the country was going in the right direction. That ANC was the putting country first and i do not believe that the ANC can go back to that level again. Its time to embrace and hope for a new South Africa under coalition.
