    Some science insight: You can tell the direction of sound due to the ever so slight difference in timing between the same sound hitting both ears. That will tell you if the sound is left/right/behind/in-front of you. In order to tell where the sound is in vertical space, you rely on the shape of your ear to change the sound in such a way so that you can just tell vertically where the sound is coming from. Dog's don't have this, so they instead will tilt their head to tell where the sound is coming from. If you put a bit of plasticine or something in your ear so that you change the shape slightly, you'll start thinking sound is coming from one direction when it's really another.

      it was all recorded from the roland headphone mics… you would need to get an additional zoom recorder to record both. but with the zoom you wouldnt get that binaural sound

    Hey Danny, why did you have the Zoom mic extended in front of you while walking here at 3:56 if you had the Roland headphones in your ears? Couldn't you have achieved the same binaural effect with the Zoom mic in your pocket instead and having your hands free?

    you need wear 5 point mic body suit, 1st be front chest, 2nd on your middle of back & 3rd's on side of yours hands, 4th be on top head so as sound of a jet comes from behind u fly's over your head fly's front u so sound be front of u not at back of u and then get good 360 sound as body will block sounds around you. no one has made the body suit so here sumthing people go make i hope u all do that. Just think how music or movies sound like, you could do 7 mic's so got 2 in shoes so pick up ground effects as well just think sound effect get in movies, just say hand mic's on each of your hands one with strings and other the pick how good it sound you should try it.

      @@DannyBlack Thanks for the feedback. I've probably watched this video about 15 times and tried replicating the crisp sound clarity and the dead silence of the background without success. Yes, I used the Roland mic and Zoom h1n for my nature channel. The outcome was never close to what you have on this video. The closest I ever got was doing a little background noise reduction in Audacity.

  • @MikeK2100

    Very good demonstration. I just purchased a pair with that recorder you have and plan to use it for paranormal investigation. To my shock, I don't think spirits talk into microphones, but recognize the energy pattern within a circuit and are able to manipulate it. Thinking this may occur with the binaural system as well and it would be great not only to have hands free EVP sessions, though I will use a back up; it will also be another source for recording the paranormal investigation for further referencing during evidence evaluation.

      @ivang495 3 роки тому

It can be very useful for Musicians, people with hearing loss, etc. What do you think? Could I use for this purpose? I have spent a lot hours researching

    • @DannyBlack
      @DannyBlack  3 роки тому +1

      Absolutely I think that could be handy!! I was using it with a zoom h1 because it has a mic input as well as a headphone out. I just now bought a splitter to see if it can work with a phone that same way, it won’t arrive until later this week and I’ll give it a try

    • @ivang495

That's another interesting option for Phones.

    • @DannyBlack
      @DannyBlack  6 років тому

      Yes it does work. But you will need an adapter (cheap adapter) basically when you look at an 1/8” jack you’ll see 2 likes for stereo... and apples headphones have 3 for mic (input) and 2 stereo out... the Roland headphones have 2 lines and the adapter gives it the 3rd line to make it comparable. Hope that helps!! (Search in google : Lightning to split mic and headphone) make sure the male end has 3 lines

    I don't usually listen with headphones. How ever these would be good for sound seeing toors. For instance some of the clips you showed in this vid are what this is for. Like when you were at that game or what ever. Or the end clip with I assume some friends or family. Or the car clip. I'm blind so I'm kinda guessing what was going on. You didn't describe them at all. So I can't really tell.

    Thanks for the video. I'm trying to connect the Ronalds CS-10EM binaural headphones to Zoom H6. I placed the red 3.5 mm minijakc on the Y connector (2 normal output jacks) to record each channel separately and put the black on the headphones. In this way, I hear a background noise that increases when I increase the gain.
    Phantom is connected and configured with 12 V because they are condenser microphones.
    I do not know how to eliminate this noise. I need to record with these headphones.
    Any information will be useful.
    Thank you.

      The feedback noise you mentioned at 1:15. I get that noise in the left ear when the gain is set to automatic or when above 6 using manual setting. Please can you tell me if this is normal?

    • @DannyBlack
      @DannyBlack  3 роки тому +1
