@@victoriajohnnyrodriguez1369 well since I didn’t use that terminology, nor did anyone else in this thread, I don’t get your point.

It's odd how humans behave. Most people walk by, some don't even acknowledge his presence. Yet, if he had a decent level of fame people would gather around with their phones raised in the air pointing directly at him. I hope we don't lose our appreciation for creativity.

He crossed the barrier between reality and that dream like state when you're really in it. He is in a new plane of existence, one where no one can harm or be harmed, no hate is recognized, and the only things that matter are the guitar and drum pad. That's what makes a legend. And now, we have heard the tale of a legend unrecognized.

Isn't it lovely how every single child that passes by gets really into it and show legitimate curiosity and admiration? I mean, what happens to humans growing up that alienates them from craving and feeding on the beautiful things in life, even while in front of their noses? Unbelievable...

    • @johnswanger8474

Great comment. Asking questions like yours is a sort of hobby of mine.
I believe the answer is that society as a whole expects certain behaviors to emerge from you as you mature. The pressure upon the individual to possess the traits required to conform to those behaviors end up causing the young person to obsess over their behavior and modify it constantly.
It's this constant cycle of attempting to demonstrate that you take the world seriously that ultimately leads to taking yourself too seriously. That's what does it.
It's within this societal induced self image that the person actively deconstructs the emotional connections necessary to "remember childlike" anything.
The ability to experience that sense of wonder and glee is extinguished. Because if "other people" saw an adult standing in front of this musician, eyes closed and dancing alone.... why, society might think...(insert negative comment about that behavior)
Totally acceptable for a child to do it. Laugh, dance, want to walk up and see the equipment. Touch it. That "filter" hasn't been installed yet.
Pay attention to other parents' behavior toward their children. You'll see how incredibly early on so many jaded adults begin snuffing out their children's "spark". They don't want the inconvenience of bright, burning youth. They want an obedient robot. Why?
Because that's what they themselves have become.

      1 word : responsibility
To elaborate : those children have no responsibility and are therefore carefree. This gives them the free time/attention to be focused on music, beauty etc.. the adults are consumed things like making sure that child has food to eat and clothes to wear and a shelter to sleep under.

I like to think that the little kids looking back in stunned glory while being sadly pulled away by their parents will one day learn to play guitar. Personally this is why I started playing. When I went to NYC I saw a performer alone playing wonderfully. My mom was pulling me away so we could make it to the hotel but still to this day It planted the seed of playing in my mind. You inspire people you wouldn't even think twice about. This goes for anybody and anything you are doing.

Even though what you wrote is pretty poetic, most people go out because it has places to be and things to do, mostly on schedule too, most people aren't hanging around on the street just because, killing time, specially on groups. Unless you are homeless and you have nowhere to go, or with a lot of free time, people are just not into being outside on the open doing nothing, hell people get even more serious about their free time and do the things they love to do.
