    Hi Debra, Thank you for the presentation. As somebody very new to the implementation aspects of a Quality Management System, it was reassuring to hear that I probably wouldn't have to create an enormous manual and catalogue of documents.
    Having said that, at the beginning of the video, you pointed out that a lot of companies simply changed a few words in the standard to create their manuals (i.e., instead of "you shall", they'd put "we have", etc.). From what I can tell, you've then gone on to list more-or-less the content of the standard, albeit in the form of a risk analysis table. If I do this for every shell, I can't see how my own risk analysis will be any shorter than the 20 or so pages the standard takes up. Then, there's the supporting documentation (competency matrix, training records, etc.) that go hand in hand with it.
    Apologies if I've completely missed the point. I suppose a better question would have been; "How have you determined which shells need addressing?" As far I can see, every single one of them starts with the sentence "The organisation shall" - which indicates a requirement.

    I've looked at several of these kind of 'What's changed?' This 50 minute video is by far the most useful and informative of the lot. It really highlights how a management system can be slimmed down to be a hell of a lot more useful and easy to organize.My only problem? What to do with the 120 pages of existing manual now that it is 5 pages long with an attached spreadsheet and half a dozen other documents!Many thanks

      Throw the 120 pages away!!!!! Save the paper. I am grinning broadly as I reply however, there is truth. Most people do a restart when they understand how simple things can be. I hope that you will contact me personally so we can discuss in detail how to proceed. My email is debra@ce-q.com. Thank you for viewing our webinar and for saying kind words. It is amazing when you realize how simple things can be. By the way, the systems that I have implemented have been audited by a third party auditor and never been found lacking. Debra

    Hi Debra, really enjoyed your presentation. I agree with the previous commenter about how useful and informative your video was. Really cut through all the posturing that's been going on with the standard, especially all the "invented" requirements people keep adding to it, like the need to do FMEAs, formal risk analysis, etc., etc. I was originally thinking about keeping the quality manual because I was thinking I would end up with more separate documents if I did away with it, even if they were process maps, but you definitely have me rethinking my plans. I am lucky in that our management team is very supportive and participating in the whole process, so will definitely be implementing what works best for us.

      Great news! Sorry that I did not see your comment until now. Let me suggest that you consider taking our course training4u.digitalchalk.com to get an even more indepth understanding of the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard. It is 10 short, 30 minute sessions and is $195. I believe you will be well prepared if you complete this course.

    Awesome video! As a mechanical engineer, I am currently watching in horror at our ISO 9001 being set up in all the wrong ways by a couple of complete eggheads (pardon my French). I am trying to get them to see the error of their ways by finding information like this video. Also I bought the book "Lean ISO 9001" by Mike Micklewright, anxiously awaiting its arrival.

    WHAT IS ISO 9001. I have looked all over the internet, and there is no a single page or video that answers this.

    What is the benefit of this system ISO 9001:2015 over ISO 9001:2008?

    • @debrahampton6971

      Dante, risk assessment when truly performed will change our quality world. This to me is the most significant change and benefit. When corrective actions are done, the standard in 2015 requires a review of the risk assessment to determine what risk you missed and edit the risk assessment table.

    Implementing ~2015 for a security company implements #27001 #31000 for a european based company would you implement 14001 or 18001?

    • @PECBGroup
      @PECBGroup  7 років тому

      Thank you for your message, Nick.
      Whether to implement ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001 for a European company depends on the type of the company and in what industry is the company operating.
      However, in order to receive more information about each standard, please follow the links below:
