Thank you for this story and acknowledging the disrespect we received upon returning from Vietnam even though it was small as a Vietnam veteran and Career military veteran for 20+ years of service. My heart goes out to every family that lost a loved one or one that was horribly wounded with lift changing injuries. GOD Bless you and our military.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE IN VIETNAM , I LOST SO MANY FRIENDS FROM VIETNAM , PLUS FAMILY MEMBERS . MY COUSIN JERRY FARMER DIDN'T COME HOME HE STEPED ON A LAND MIND . IT REALLY HAD ME UP SET THE WAY VIETNAM VETS WAS TREATED WHEN THEY CAME HOME, AFTER MY COUSIN PASSED THE WAY HE DID . THANK YOU SO MUCH
Obviously a too long made up story! Married to a career military I don’t know what to think of this long drawn out story !!! Too much attention on her , not enough on the ceremony!
How beautiful of the military family and few civilians understand. My journey of coming home with our 4 day old son to my husband getting orders for Nam. Three months later saying farewell to my husband, at the airport, holding back tears holding son with 3 year old daughter at my side. Seven months later, getting notification of him being Med-Evacuated to a hospital nearest home. Months of rehab and moving until able to work again. God bless those who were not so fortunate. Thank heaven for those who did.
My dad was in WW2, my brother was in the Air Force, a nephew in the Marines. Also grandfather, and uncles in the Army. Never disrespect a fallen soldiers. God Bless your service.
I saw a lot of soldiers come home in flag draped caskets but never saw them bring the casket thru the terminal. They usually come off the plane and go into a hurst. I lost a lot of good friends in Vietnam. Thanks for your service.
My son was in dessert storm he went in a perfect young man but didn’t come back the same way I have nothing but the highest respect for all our service men and women they are protecting our country people that don’t should be in jail
I'm an old man now. I once was a young airman. This brought tears to my eyes and my heart ache. Words do not adequately express the feelings. Thank you, your family and friends for their sacrifices. I'm proud to be a veteran, but still see so much more needs to be done. God Bless the USA!
Thank you for the intent such accounts well already well orchestrated the delivery was excellent. God bless you for your tent that’s what counts I’m a combat veteran Southeast Asia, Vietnam, operation desert storm war enforcement still on the field and I’ll die out here with my boots on for veterans again thank you well done, God bless America. God bless you for your openly, honest, intent
Army national guard WW2 veteran oldest grandson an army vet medic specialist son ❤ being part of an army vets family is an blessing to all the army forces out of respect and 💕
I am a daughter of a soldier who fought in WW 2 a brother who fought in Vietnam and a husband who fought in Vietnam and Desert Storm if I was there I would also so such respect to a fallen military member and his or her family!!😢😢🎉🎉🎉
They are probably retired veterans as I am. The salute is merely a sign of respect to a fallen comrade. ..... it costs nothing. WHY IS THIS ANOTHER NARRATOR STORY? Where are the re-actors??
The real story was only around 6 minutes long. The other 20 minutes were boring repetitions of many similar segments of the same stuff. The respect to the fallen soldier is acknowledged.
I'm a retired veteran who has lost many friends over the years. I feel sorry for the lost of their loved one. The only thing that I dislike over this video is is the disrespect that is shown to this fallen soldier. The fact that you would post this with a woman shooting the the finger. That is most inappropriate for this video.
Both myself and wife are US Army Vietnam Era veterans with 18 yrs total service... I have served on several burial details while on active duty.. And later as a civilian rode motorcycle (proudly displaying a 3ft x 5ft US flag) escorts for veterans to include standing honor guard at the funeral home to escort to the burial site to stand honor guard again to even stepping forward to become a pallbearer and or flag folder and flag presenter....... Have taken on all of these duties with giving the reverence deserved by our fallen veterans....
This lady in the picture with the middle finger up. She does not have the respect for the people in the service. That pisses me off. Also she does means she does have respect for other people. That means she is a very unhappy person deep down in her soul. I'm 60 years old and I'm proud to be an American. I was brought up to respect for others. And for our service men and women. The people that service our country, if it wasn't for them we wouldn't have freedom to do what we want to do with our life. Thank you for serving our country.
I always respected the military. I didn't like the Vietnam War. I made sure that if I saw soldiers coming home from that war, I would welcome them home.
All my Uncles took part in world war I I. Also the Korean war. I worked at VA hospital during Vietnam war, then aid in finding redesign homes for disabled vets, lobbying for disabled parking, ramps not steps elevators anything that had only steps. Counters doors stools sinks stoves refrigerators lighting furniture wheelchairs cains limbs schooling tutors meals on wheels groups to join for PTSD or adjustment to current life. It takes nothing to give respect care empathy sympathy. People who are selfintiteled and hubris is disgusting deplorable and do not deserve respect. Everyone owe so much to our service people for our Freedom our Democracy and Constitution. No one has the right to walk on the back of others. So many homeless people are our military that kept us safe free! Learn to think, care, express empathy. Help aid when you can. Recall everything you enjoy and never gave one thought of who, how many you owe for that. Freedom sounds so wonderful like a fresh deep breath. How many who can not. RIP thank you for your service and keeping our freedom protective.
"The fact that you would post this with a woman shooting the the finger. That is most inappropriate for this video." Also, the soldier was not a General but a Sergeant Major. I hate when the pictures have very little to do with the story. It is also evident in the titles sometimes that are just exaggeration of what the whole story is about. This title is correct but the photo is totally off. This video was very moving for me as I spent 29+ years in service to the US Military and all these ceremonies are sometimes heart wrenching for me. I feel the loss for each and every one of my fellow service members. She experienced personal growth and compassion during this story.
This is exact representation of the newer generations "hurray for me. The hell with everyone else" . Self centered conceded selflessness. These type do not change. The 80 yrs that I have traveled has proven it to me. Very sorry to witness.
The stern fellow on the right is a Vice Rear Brigadier Admiral (Middle Half) in the Armenian Navy. He has 82.5 years of active service, while the gold stripe on his trousers indicates that he's a really nice guy who knows how to pick the right wine with dinner. The dark blue background on his shoulder boards indicates that he's a lactose-intolerant vegan Episcopalian (that's a person who likes to eat fish in church). The stand-up fellow on the left wears the chevrons of a Probationary Reserve Sub-Petty Warrant Officer 7th Class, once removed. His background is classified for reasons I can't go into here. All of the people in the background are 'employed' in the Dept. of Redundancy Department at the Walmart in downtown Yerevan. They were 'encouraged' to attend by their managers as they reportedly feared losing their jobs if they didn't. Note the suspiciously missing wheels on the middle brace holding up the coffin. The world wonders...
The man standing behind the woman in gray is a FAKE SOLDIER. He's wearing SFC stripes, yet has what appears to be MAJOR or LTC rank on the shoulder appulets. There's a lot of stuff in the photo that's wrong, revealing it is a FAKE.
Those who do these videos should become knowledable about military protocol and uniform appearance. Civilians DON'T give military salutes rather place their hands over their hearts, only veterans are allowed to render the hand salute under limited circumstances. Also, officers don't wear enlisted stripes on their uniforms. If I saw a person make the finger sign in a procession of a fallen service member I would probably call them "gutter trash" once the ceremony was completed. This is NOT the first time, that I have noticed that LIFE VOICES is ignorant of the actual military.....correct that problem, Life Voices!
Yes, that's an E - 7 NCO, not an O - 7 or higher! Civilians don't understand the ranking system, or the various insignias used in the military. Only about two percent of Americans ever served in Sam's Finest's. Most of them know nothing about the bond of brotherhood period. "Me me, me, have you got, will you lend, can I borrow" comes to mind for most of them. Ladies don't flip the bird either! ~
Your right Civilians aren’t required to SALUTE but as I have noticed it’s normally ExMilitary personnel that will also Salute yes I know having that ExService personnel in an Airport seems almost impossible but as I have also noticed these stories are mostly told with incorrect pictures in the back grounds of almost all the ones I’ve seen but I’ve learned these stories tend to try to over do it with their background adding some imagination drama to get people to watch.
It,s sad for the family's of the fallen Soldiers. However I don,t know why Countries Send there young men to fight War in Foreign Lands. I know some fight for her former colony in the end innocents civilians have died too like What happened. In the middle East like the America President Bush say have weapon of mass destruction them and the United kingdoms attacks that so called country Bombing the living daylights out of it,s and Many civilians died. Then they try to cover it up. What of the civil and do they have any honour some body turned up in your and you lost your life. Which is unfair Then giving Weapons to Is real and Ukraine when there are Thousand of homeless people's in America any way Why have not the American Governments pay reparations money For Slaverys. When are they going to pay it when? are going have more respects for Black People's?
Melissa you should realize you're showing respect to somebody that's an American soldier who put their life on the line for their country to serve and protect you Melissa and you're not showing any respect to the military you should be ashamed of yourself
People, this is a made up story. The picture so poorly represents the story it is very sad. For one thing, the soldier behind her is a Sgt and far too old for the rank. Apparently a Sergeant First Class with 24 yrs service. Civilians do not salute and it is actually a sign of disrespect from those that don't wear the uniform. Right hand over the heart is the proper sign of respect. Ridiculous.
Thank you for this story and acknowledging the disrespect we received upon returning from Vietnam even though it was small as a Vietnam veteran and Career military veteran for 20+ years of service. My step father fought in the south Pacific during WW2 and my uncle saw action in the north African campaign as a medic

the back ground music is way too loud and most annoying. Makes it hard to concentrate on the text.

Little AI morality play.
Just noticed this. Why are the civilians presenting a military salute?
Because they are patriots idiot

Officer’s have that right. I don’t know about enlisted, but I’m sure you could call any AF base and find out.
Now that I look they are honoring our flag and the fallen soldier.
They do not know any better
Does he have Officer and Enlisted rank on?
Maybe he's a sgt./ major.
What's with the background music??? I feel like I'm on an elevator going to the 1000th floor for a dental appointment.
That is a wonderful way of putting it.
Is there any way to screen it iut?
WHY IS THERE MUSIC WHEN SOMEONE IS TALKING ITS SO ANNOYING IN REAL LIFE WE DON'T HAVE MUSIC WHILE WE TALK SO PLEASE CUT OUT THE MUSIC
Doesn't have respect
AND the casket flag was ALL wrong....
