Thank you for catching that! 3 years later and I think you’re the only eyes that has noticed 👀 I’ll definitely be revising my posters for this upcoming year!💕
The Calming corners that teachers have kill me. You know what my calming corner is? The principals office. I refuse to have a kid in my room (no matter the situation) sitting in a corner playing with toys while all the other students are listening and learning. And the "voice levels" is funny too. No kid ever has ever listened to the "voice levels" rules.
Lmao!!! I completely agree. There’s some schools and districts that provide fund’s specifically for calming corners and that could be why it’s incorporated. But I understand. Thank you for sharing 🫶🏽
Also, as for voice levels, my school district follows CHAMPS and our admin expects to see it somewhere displayed in our classrooms. I believe the purpose is to set expectations and hold students accountable but I agree how likely are they to follow them? 🤷🏽♀️
In many schools, teachers are not allowed to just send a student out the class -- even to the administrators -- unless it's a huge thing. So those corners (like time out) are for re-regulation & de-escalation.
Fidgets aren't toys. At the point that a student is using them like a toy, then they are joining the rest of the class with instruction -- tantrum be dammed unless they're throwing stuff/ being aggressive. Then that's a referral & something the administrators need to handle
Great video , I really like the bohemian aesthetics. Have a few questions, what materials do you place in the rolling cart and do you literally roll it around the class? Also , how do you get your lighting to be so dim in the class? Thanks
Thank you so much! • My rolling cart holds group pencil boxes, white boards and markers for students and my class set of calculators. No I do not roll it around it stays in the front of the classroom near my desk. It is convenient if needed to roll it to a location for small groups/ rotations. •In my classroom I have 2 light switches and I only leave one on because the fluorescent lights give me headaches and I prefer the dimmer light look for calmness 💕
Beautiful room! I did notice the word "whisper" is spelled "wisper" on your CHAMPS wall. Just wanted to give you a heads up. 😉

Omg i love your classroom, beautiful setup. I noticed that you a specific theme for your rules. How did you print those? tpt?
Thank you so much! Yes I purchased an edible template from TPT so I was able to create some things my own on using the templet ❤️
Love this!!

Love it! Question where did you get the storage piece that looks like a locker that holds student supplies?
I found it at Ross a few years ago
