Here in corn country, I occasionally splash in a few gallons of E85 on top of a fill up for all of my cars, none of which are flex-fuel, all of which are naturally aspirated. Any rough idling, etc., the E85 cleans the injectors and the valves, and makes the engine run better. E85 has its uses, and forced-induction unlocks more efficiency and potential cost savings.
Turbo Tim had my 99 GTP tuned in abt 3 revisions. He is very good at tuning this platform

car sat on a full tank for months waiting for a rebuild. I did heAr the lucas Ethanol supplement heLps. reviews seem to be mixed on that. More trips to the pump but its wAy cheApeR than 93. $4 vs 2.50 right now.
Also a little may get intO the oil a little but as long as you run it long enough for the oil to geT to temp the alcohol should evaporate.
At Casey’s in Franklin KY, e85 is $2.049/gal as of TODAY…
Great video! I just replaced my battery and alternator on my 04 GTP but I keep getting a critical charging system failure light as well as service brake system and abs lights. Any guess as too what it can be? Theres 0 codes after scanning it multiple times so I’m lost right now:(
Can you check voltage at the battery while its running with a multimeter?
@@SalemDoyle Yes I’ve checked voltage from battery and alternator and both are at normal operating range. I can recheck later today when I’m off work
@@SalemDoyle So I checked the voltage of the battery- its 12V at the battery and at the alternator. Then when I checked one of the grounds it would bounce around from 2V to 6v back to 0v and only once hit 12V.
@@Grand_PrixGTP sounds like maybe a bad ground. But thealt should be putting out 13.5 to 14.5 volts at idle
@@SalemDoyle I meant to say the was while the car was off my fault🤦♂️ But I cleaned up the ground inside the engine bay and hot a new bolt for it and I so far have had no lights pop up! I know the car has to cycle through everything being that there is a new battery and unhooked everything to clean the ground in there. Im praying it stays that way though!!
E85 is only for performance, period!!! I
I see about 20mpg on E40 vs 21.5-22 mpg on 93 octane. For half the money vs 93 I call it a win.
