During the development we made times from 4.90 to 5.10. Your times are slow because you don't use correctly the torque converter. Fully press the brake, fully press the throttle, aim at 2400 rpm and release the brake. Do it in Automatic Dynamic so that the ZF transmission does the rest with specific performance shifts in this two-pedals drag mode. Repost the video when you will finally have some decent times.... Cheers
You need to rev at 2500 or something before you release the brake, not release the break and then start accelerating. This costs a a couple of milliseconds
with no lunch control, it is a remarkable result. Audi for example provides their figures assuming that the lunch control is employed, which is somewhat misleading I think...
Am i the only one that realize that his stopwatch is wrong? One second in the video is way longer than in real. I also stopped the time, and its always over 6,5 seconds. 100-200 is around 18 seconds
I have seen that at the start you don raise the engine Revs. I think that by this procedure you can improve the acceleration. Q4 Veloce has very few spin. So you can touch 5.2. Sec. Best👍
@@WarsawCars yes of course! me with my Giulia use this: set dynamic; manual gear, push brake, rev no more that 2-2.3k-rpm(or weels will spin), leave brake pedal and throttle flat! So I suggest to you to shift up soon, after 5k-rpm (5200 is ok) to make the perfect shift, it will be smoot, cause the zf needs just a little bit more time to operate. be shure that you will reach 5.2sec. me, with my 2.0t, rwd with 300 bhp (chip tuned and race down pipe) reaches 4.9 with this procedure
Coz you don't put leg on gas and break pedal on every traffic lights if you want to run fast. This is not real life start. Moreover there is no real launch control procedure in Veloce.

I have Veloce. We measured acceleration 0-200 : 21,8
Start full gas while pressing the brake, about 2800 rpm, but this is automatic. Very easy!

Well, his timer doesn't even record milliseconds.
Milliseconds?
Giulia sempre la migliore e anche in tutte le altre sue versioni!!!

No lunch no dinner ;)
I have just ordered a Novitec tuning box to my Veloce, it will add 20-30% power (330-360 bhp in total). It might go under 5 sec.
Did you get it?
How is it going?
And your under 5sec
@@landreas274 will have it installed on monday.

Quick car.. wish there was a stripped down Veloce model in manual called the Sprint.

You are right. I noticed that too ;)
Vero!!!
The official time of acceleration from the factory 0-100 is 5.2 sec.
I know that, but my best is 5.67 sec. Based on gauges.

@@MB-zt9eo yes, but oficially there is no Launch Control procedure in the Veloce. So we can see real 0-100 times without playing with the revs.
That's because you're supposed to use launch control, or in this case, step on the brake, floor the throttle and release the brake.

Your stopwatch goes slower than normal stopwatch , add gauge inaccuracy to that and you've got slower acceleration times than what you indicate.
You need to use GPS, the factory gauce is slightly wrong, so its actually slower than what you indicate.
Why you not start with gas ans break pedal pushed ?? Rpm go to 2000 and yiu ve done it in 4.8

5.5 k redine for a petrol! Damn!
6000 rpm rev limiter!
The stopwatch is absolutely not precise. On the 0-100 I measure on average 1 second longer. Try it yourself ;)
Skąd takie słabe wyniki do setki?
Mierzone po czasie trwania filmu 😂
launch control - am i joke for you?
Don’t do manual change keep in full auto; ecu knows how to keep engine in full boost..... you don’t
apparently don't, coz my best time is with manual change.
That gearbox in the giulia rev a little too much on diesels versions,.. changing gear 3/400 rpm before will give you better times
Never mind, this one is the petrol one :D
sheedsanator76 why is rev max only 5'500 rpm? until 6000 - 7000 is normal for a petrol engine and would make faster acceleration

the car I tested had a very large lag when you put the pedal to the floor... at least 0.5-0.7s. lost there...
