  • Check out my review of Dr. Marty freeze-dried raw dog food. This blend uses whole foods and is a great way to add fresh food to your dog's diet.
I live in my car with my dog which makes it hard if not impossible to feed frozen raw food. Freeze-dried raw is shelf stable and easy to transport. It's also nutrient dense and most dogs love it!

A canine nutritionist is just what I need. I'm so glad I found you.
Currently I am beside myself because my 2 year cannot seem to hold anything down. To make a long story short, she had to have 6 inches of intestine cut out last February and hasn't been the same since. My vet keeps going back to allergies. I don't believe it. They put her on the Hills Z/D canned and she still vomits. I'm seeing a new vet tomorrow and am thinking of moving her to freeze dried but it's so expensive. Would I really be paying almost $500 a month for a 40 pound dog on Dr. Marty? Any other suggestions?

Oooh no you wouldn't pay that much. My dog is 30lbs and highly active and we get about a week from each bag. You'd need roughly 6 bags which is around $160. Still not exactly cheap but for a good quality freeze-dried food it's not bad. I would consult with a holistic vet, look into healing the gut microbiome, and move away from a food like hills. That's just my opinion.

how long does that bag last you? im trying to find the most affordable freeze dried raw option for my 18lb dog. im looking into stella and chewys, vital essentials, bravo, sojos and other ones to see what lasts the longest for around the same price

I get about a week from each bag for my very active 30lb dog. Freeze dried is generally fairly expensive but this one isn't too bad, especially if you buy a few bags at a time.
