Please note that the doors in the Vision and the Pastiche are mistaken for two-piece doors. This is not the case - they are ONE PIECE DOORS cleverly disguised as two-piece doors! Apologies for the mistake. The description below the video will answer many people's questions, so please check this out. The Pastiche 470 (but with Vision upholstery) is the Coachman I would go for from this line-up. What's your favourite?
I am a Bailey fanatic BUT have to say I do like the Coachman range/look/feel/features. The front of a Coachman has always taken my eye as they look smart. Great 'First Look' Andrew.
The Coachman Pastiche 470 is at the top of our list due to the L shaped lounge and dinette. I think it would be perfect for a couple of middle aged poofs and their two small dogs. We’ve never had a caravan before but it looks like this year we may take the plunge, but don’t know whether to go for second hand or brand new.
Always worth going for decent second hand to start with, just to make sure the layout really works for you. A lot of second hand Coachmans (Coach-men?) have been well looked after. Good luck, and welcome to the Dark Side! ;@)
We’ll be going to look at one next week to see if we like it in the flesh. We won’t be buying until later in the year as we have other holidays booked, so I’m hoping we may get some discount towards the end of the season. Trouble is, my partner has to change his car first as his Honda Civic with it’s twin central exhaust can’t take a tow bar.
The Pastiche 470 is now out of the running as the bed is too short for my partner, so we are now looking at the traditional two sofa design with a dinette as the bed is just that little bit wider and longer. We had a good look at a few Coachmans at a local dealer today and are definitely sold on the build quality of the brand. The quandary is whether to dip our toes in the water with a second hand Coachman or just go for a brand new model.🤔
Hi Andrew, The refrigerator door that opens from either side is fantastic, now convenient!! Yes these Coachman units are indeed well appointed! These brief looks are great. Your opinion is valuable. Good to see a number of units at one time. As always you & Dougal are the main attraction, one always wants more! 👬🇬🇧🇺🇸😀😍😘
17:26 Radio-cassette would have been nice + SD card slot + Bluetooth. A better location - so it was handy to adjust while remaining in your seat - or does it come with IR remote control ?
Smart, clever, elegant, looking cool....what else is there to say about....Dougal 😜. Liked the Coachmans, too 👍 Would prefer the smaller ones. Fantastic double opening door in the fridge.
15:38 Yup, many of the caravan tours reveal unimpressive sinks. They've gone for flashiness over functionality and economy. And I now totally hate those push-button door locks - for their noise - especially as I now realise that they're not simply transit locks but everyday locks. I think I'd add magnetic catches to all the doors with those and include a rubber bumper so there's no metal to metal contact on closing.
Clever idea with the fridge door! The build quality seems excellent. BTW you know we all 'hallooo' back at you, so please don't apologise. I bet Dougal smiled when he was taken away from the caravans (too new for lovely smells) and off for a lovely walk and ball-chasing session. He is such a patient, well-behaved boy.
Coachman caravans you’ve changed how I feel about motor homes. I now need one of your caravans. There cheaper than motor homes and have a big toilet area.the shower, fitted sink witch I love. I don’t think I want a adria no more. Andrew Bitton I enjoy your videos and viewing the caravans. Couchmans your caravans are beautiful from what I see.
oh I love your reviews! we,re still trying to decide about the type of caravan we need for when we retire,,(only 6 months to go)..looking forward to going to the NEC in a couple of months,,,,,I,ll be like a kid in a toyshop..
Those just CANNOT be the same brand as Coachman here in the states! Here in the USA they ARE entry level coaches. They are designed by Bud’s over beers using magic markers on cocktail napkins and then built by the rest of the bar as they continue get drunk with their buddies. Those look NICE! Seriously nice! Color me impressed! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
like the coachman range, very posh only issue would be the fixed double beds may be a bit short being over 6ft. Dougal as cute as ever, the look of when we have seen these can we go play.
I hate it when small table has the wheel arch between the seats. Please try them out for size and let us know if the wheel arch is a shin killer or room stealer. Nice Vans and great video as always.
Another great video, thanks! Just a question I thought I'd throw out there. Why don't we see UK caravans for sale in the rest of Europe? I live in Spain, where (unfortunately) we have the added complication of the double number plate! All caravans weighing more than 750kg have to have their own number plate, documentation, MOT etc. Thanks!
Coachman did export to the Netherlands for a while, and Swift and Lunar export to some countries in the EU. I think the long and the short of it is that development costs for a non-UK product would fail to be covered by the lower volume of sales overseas. Plus the fact, almost every UK factory is already at peak capacity.
Helpful that you've put in the time of the review in your description, but did you know, if you want to, if you put 1:41 it will create a shortcut link to 1 minute 41 in the video.
These are very nice. Access both sides of the fridge is pure genius! One problem. People are finding the sliding screen that goes across the entry door is easily damaged by both people and animals and not repairable. Good old fashioned rigid door screen was better. Tufted sofa cushions are not comfortable to sleep on plus the buttons tend to pop off then it looks tatty.
Can I just say that your reviews are good. However, as a Woman who likes everything to have a place and tries to keep the kids tidy, i need to see how many cupboards are up top, what space is there under the seats, what does the fridge look like, how many shelves etc?
We did look at Coachman when we bought our Bailey Unicorn Cartagena (twin axle) which comparable to the Laser. Bailey was cheaper, however, I can see why Coachman are more pricey. They are more luxurious at the top end. Great first look thank you - ooo I do like Coachman caravans, maybe our next one... Graham
Very surprised to see the worktop extension flap has returned after all the reasons Coachman gave for not fitting them. I'd still like one for my 575/4.
Some nice designs.... lovely "wee" features that would make life easier without taking up too much room. Not a fan of island beds at all. The L-shaped sofa is lovely looking though. :-) Great video as always... are you amd Dougal going to the caravan show later this month (think it is Dusseldorf)??
Hey Andrew great video as always! I look forward to your first looks. I also found the ferry boarding video useful first time I towed over to France. Some advice please.....I bought a 2017 coachman and I love it! Had a couple of different manufacturers in the past but I'll be staying with coachman from here on in. My question is when is the most cost effective time to change it? I want to keep the value in the van but at the same time I don't too much depreciation. This is our 5th season now and we're absolutely loving it 😊👍🏻
That's an easy one Steven. The biggest cost as you know is the unseen cost of depreciation. So basically, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Depreciation is obvs steeper in the earlier years, so if you're happy with it and it works, then I'd keep hold of it until things change. Depreciation does eventually bottom out because the cost of new vans keeps increasing. I paid £37.5k for my Airstream 10 years ago. The price of a new one is £87k, so mine has actually increased in value a little bit.
Perfect, thanks Andrew I see your point 👍🏻 We searched high and low for our van - layout, colour scheme etc so won't be changing anytime soon, it fits us "just right". Holland 2019 might be our next European adventure 👍🏻
Nice caravans, but the LED strip used by coachman could be so much better, the 'pitch' (distance between LED's) is too wide for the diffuser used - much better LED is available on the market.
When are manufacturers going to produce a two part fly screen. With the bin on the door you cant close the bottom half and have the fky screen closed at the same time.
16:20 that check-strap on the door is the height of tackiness. Mechanically useless and mechanically useless. What is it supposed to do (it won't) for its short lifespan ?
Nice and unbiased Andrew, thought Bailey Phoenix’s recent launch was a bit over kill so lots of social media, yours was a introduction to the range, if you want more info go to their site👍
Hey Andrew, is this the Same Coachman as in the US? If it is what a difference and if it is not, man we need these over here in Canada!!!!!! They are all very well appointed and the homeyness of the units, all of them, is Great! And never be sorry for the Halooo, it is Classic and a great Trade Mark!
Hey Andrew, do you think it's better to buy new or used? Advantages/disadvantages? I know you bought yours new. Unfortunately these are quite outside of my price range unless I financed them, which I avoid as much as possible! Appreciate that you think of your audience and review from a 'short' or 'tall' person perspective! xD
I think you answered your own question there. If you can afford new and intend to keep the caravan for a good few years, then go for it. But if you have to finance the purchase? Then I'd rather go second hand for what you can afford outright, that way you are investing 100% in the caravan and not throwing money at interest payments. I admit I did put my Airstream on my mortgage when I had a house, but I've kept it long enough to appreciate in value and paid it off quickly.
It’s a moot point anyway Vicky as my partner informs me that his new car won’t take a tow bar due to its twin central exhaust. Anyway, must go and check my macaroons, I’ve had them on a low light since Wednesday.
they are like two times lighter than US trailers. I have no idea why they are so heavy. If they had this brand I can tow one with my C class. Even pop up trailers are heavier than European mid sized caravans
Nearly thought I had found my future caravan with the VIP or LAZER until I visited their website and clicked on their galleries....why oh why have they put in those flimzy night paper shades ? :( Totally dislike those :( Always funny to see comments from the american dreaming about our european caravans while we want theirs....Not sure they understood how was working our cassette toilet..lol....neither that they understood our small 50 liters fresh water and grey water tanks that stand outside of the caravan and need to be refill once a day sometimes even more if you are a family and that those same tanks need to be roll all over our campistes to be empty and fill....I think they'll just cry and regret their beautiful Airstreams....
Very unimaginative caravans. Those tiny fridges are a joke. Where are the murphy beds that would convert your bedroom to an office/workspace with a few fold up tables? Where are the drop down beds (as seen in camper vans) which means you could sleep on a proper mattress and not the jigsaw cushions?
Mate your vids aren't great because we cant imagine the set up because you dont show enough ..you edit to the next stage when we need to see how you got there..if ya know what I mean lol jus saying
Err, I made exactly the same kind of video last year for the 2018 model preview. I financed this video myself and gave up my time in the Hebrides to attend this launch and bring my subscribers the new ranges. And this is the thanks I get for doing that? Would you instead like me to launch a Patreon and keep my videos only for people who pay?
Deep breaths, stay calm. It is just an opinion. I like the product launches. I can not spot any real changes, improvements or innovation in the recent launches. What do you think the big new thing is?
I thought this was the old Andrew Ditton. He does a mixture of videos including caravan first looks and reviews. I personally like looking inside caravans even though I will probably never own one.
It’s an insight in to a new range a month or so before the rest of us mere mortals will get chance to see them in the flesh. Keep doing what you do Andrew.
Please note that the doors in the Vision and the Pastiche are mistaken for two-piece doors. This is not the case - they are ONE PIECE DOORS cleverly disguised as two-piece doors! The Pastiche 470 (but with Vision upholstery) is the Coachman I would go for from this line-up. What's your favourite?
Andrew Ditton definitely the one with the L-Shaped lounge for me, lovely design.
That Coachman Pastiche 470 is perfect even for two. The size is just right and it feels cozy without that claustrophobic feel.
I am a Bailey fanatic BUT have to say I do like the Coachman range/look/feel/features. The front of a Coachman has always taken my eye as they look smart. Great 'First Look' Andrew.
Cheers Shaun!
I truly love the European caravans. They look sooo nice. Wish I could ship one of them here to Arizona
Material Color trim,,"Burnished Russet". Very attractive. Coachman taste & quality strikes again.:)
The Coachman Pastiche 470 is at the top of our list due to the L shaped lounge and dinette. I think it would be perfect for a couple of middle aged poofs and their two small dogs. 17:26 Radio-cassette would have been nice + SD card slot + Bluetooth. A better location - so it was handy to adjust while remaining in your seat - or does it come with IR remote control ?
Always loved Coachman Caravans. Can't wait to see if and when Coachman do motorhomes.
Smart, clever, elegant, looking cool....what else is there to say about....Dougal 😜. Liked the Coachmans, too 👍 Would prefer the smaller ones. Fantastic double opening door in the fridge.

14:32 A heated boot / coat? cupboard to dry your outdoor stuff in. What an excellent feature for creating even more condensation in the van :(
Coachman caravans you’ve changed how I feel about motor homes. I now need one of your caravans. There cheaper than motor homes and have a big toilet area.the shower, fitted sink witch I love. Fantastic looking van😆
I was offline the other day when I watched this. That was very restrained of you not to ‘hello’ in the mirror until the 4th caravan! 😄
oh I love your reviews! we,re still trying to decide about the type of caravan we need for when we retire,,(only 6 months to go)..looking forward to going to the NEC in a couple of months,,,,,I,ll be like a kid in a toyshop..
Thanks Pamela! You'll need a couple of days then at the NEC, as one day will just fill your head to overflowing ! See you there :)
We have a coachman vip 565, lovely van, but I think the tap should be at the other side of the sink,
Poor Dougal. He had to sit outside. Really nice caravans. Thanks for the video.
Those just CANNOT be the same brand as Coachman here in the states! Here in the USA they ARE entry level coaches. Top quality original content as usual. Top job 👌🏻
Thanks Paul!
Thanks Andrew. They look good quality I love the fridge.
Nice one 👍 and thanks for add in the price in too
Regards Dave, Jo and Louie 👍😀🐾
20:03 The bed pulls out.
Does it fold up too so you can use the space it occupies through the day ?
I hate it when small table has the wheel arch between the seats. Please try them out for size and let us know if the wheel arch is a shin killer or room stealer. Nice Vans and great video as always.
Big fan of Coachman vans, great vlog showing the new range!
Very thoughtful design where practicality is balanced with elegantly simple design points. I wish we had similar models in the U.S.
I like these Andrew like the Pastich 575 though torn between that and the Luna Lexon 660 no rush though have 4 months to make up my mind
Great video Andrew, really like the two way opening fridge freezer ;))
Enjoyed it very much thanks.
But really wanted to see the twin single bed Lazer
Me too, but it wasn't there at the Preview Malc!
Hi, are you doing the 2020 coachman previews soon?
No previews this year as I was in the Hebrides.
Another great video, thanks!
Just a question I thought I'd throw out there. Why don't we see UK caravans for sale in the rest of Europe? Andrew Ditton Thanks for the answer. It's a real pity!
Helpful that you've put in the time of the review in your description, but did you know, if you want to, if you put 1:41 it will create a shortcut link to 1 minute 41 in the video.
Top tip, thanks Bob! Have changed it now. Thanks a lot, always learning...
These are very nice. Access both sides of the fridge is pure genius! One problem. Tufted sofa cushions are not comfortable to sleep on plus the buttons tend to pop off then it looks tatty.
Omg I love all of these campervan, better than my house I could live there forever, I can't wait for my adventure,
That fridge is amazing!
Can I just say that your reviews are good. However, as a Woman who likes everything to have a place and tries to keep the kids tidy, i need to see how many cupboards are up top, what space is there under the seats, what does the fridge look like, how many shelves etc?
Although Coachman do not do an entry-level van, I think the best way to describe the Vision, is their most affordable.
22:02 A much better sink and provided the tap spout swivels (out of the way) that would do me just fine.
Reading comments on fridge door as vlog playing. Little confused. All is clear now. They need to make them for our homes to.
Graham
Would you choose the 460 or 520? And why? Thanks! ;)
Very surprised to see the worktop extension flap has returned after all the reasons Coachman gave for not fitting them. I'd still like one for my 575/4.
Thanks Andrew for this great vidéo 😉😉😉 i love coachman caravan ☺

Holland 2019 might be our next European adventure 👍🏻
How tinny does the roof sound when it's pissing down ? Will it keep everyone awake at night ?
That is what a really cheap pair of soft ear plugs are for. More comfortable than a ear bud or ear phones...
Are there any 6 berth caravans that are decent for families on the market at the moment or comming in 2019? That you know of please..
Are you vlogging from salon Dusseldorf again this year Andrew, loved last years vlogs👍🏻
Yes Adrian, that is the plan!
Nice first look
16:20 that check-strap on the door is the height of tackiness. Mechanically useless and mechanically useless. What is it supposed to do (it won't) for its short lifespan ?

wish we had European caravans in Canada. US caravans are just big and materials are super super cheaply made..
I love the washrooms in these!!!
Hey Andrew, do you think it's better to buy new or used? Advantages/disadvantages? I know you bought yours new. Unfortunately these are quite outside of my price range unless I financed them, which I avoid as much as possible!

So which brand of caravans would you recommend ?
Beautiful
I only heard the price on one of these. 21thousand pounds, or 26,000USD. I didn't hear how many feet they are.
See a really good one there mate u do a really good job on here mate form Greg Bouchard how are u OK mate
The red color is called "rust," I think.
Tee hee, 'rust' ain't a colour but a condition, and a particular one that doesn't go down well with vehicle owners, I guess.
Do any of these have TVs
I stand corrected
But I can't get it here in the U.S.!!!!!!
Those are very impressive! :-)
Nice video - same old boring brown caravans - I guess they know their market and I'm sure Fred & Mavis will approve.
Great ... love dougal 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Yes l like the caravan but not the beds or shower from linda parry liverpool8 thank you
Warum bring die es nicht in Deutsch
I would love to... aber mein Deutsch ist slecht!
Get rid of all that faux wood and go gloss white.
Would feel much bigger.
Top shelf👍
Coachman washroom, great place for a party,
I think the Pastiche 470 would suit me very well. Love the separate dinette and I prefer a rear end washroom. Better start saving.
Of course, the only down side with a rear washroom is that you can't stand in the back cooking chips as you're whizzing down the motorway... ;@)
It’s a moot point anyway Vicky as my partner informs me that his new car won’t take a tow bar due to its twin central exhaust. Anyway, must go and check my macaroons, I’ve had them on a low light since Wednesday.
Slice them finely otherwise someone might choke to death!
I don’t think she heard me.
Why would you need a fridge door to open both ways, people don't open their fridge door at home both ways because there is no point.
Maybe left and right handed couples? Having said that, I wouldn't want one myself, I would't be able to decide which side to open!
Depends which side you are standing at, if the door is open you can't get passed to get stuff out!
American Rv manufactures need to wake up, theses caravans would sell like hot cakes. With all the windows & light it resembles air stream
I wish they sold these in the USA.
they are like two times lighter than US trailers. I have no idea why they are so heavy. If they had this brand I can tow one with my C class. Even pop up trailers are heavier than European mid sized caravans
The more things change, the more they stay the same. Not the caravans but those four silly guys in the mirrors.
'HELLOOO!' ;@)
Nothing new plus it’s the same as swift
Tres swish !!!
Very good reviews...... But PLEASE PLEASE stop the " hello" .
It seems far more people like it I'm afraid. I get loads of complaints if I don't.
Andrew Ditton it took some getting used to but now I think your hello’s are brilliant 🤣
Tres swish. !
Missing the old Andrew Ditton..... Adventure not commercial 😢
Err, I made exactly the same kind of video last year for the 2018 model preview. I think you may have some Canadian in your bloodline, you apologise alot. Eh?
Do you think so? Oh sorry, eh? ;@)
terrible design.
What is one wants to go to the main living space from the bedroom and your partner is taking a poo and wants his or her privacy?????
Plastic toilet. Not very VIP.
Lou Johnson
Yes but would you really wanna go to toilet in there ?
