I worked this past winter/spring harvesting mandarins/oranges/lemon. Here in Spain most of the time we collect the fruit in medium sized black plastinc buckets, then proceed to dump all the fruit in plastic boxes (they can hold up to 20/22 kilos of fruit). We harvest the fruit by hand cutting right in the spot where the little stem conects the fruit to the rest of the tree.
Sidenote, Valencias are the worst verity to harverst IMO, the trees are HUGE making it really hard to reach all the fruit real fast. We got paid by the box, the more boxes we make the more we earn that day so we had to do it really fast all day long or untill we fill all the boxes available that day. We also had to load all the boxes into the truck that carries them to their destination, imagine having to build a pallet of 6~8 (20~22 kilos) boxes tall by 3 in the base and repeat it till you load a 24 to 30 pallet truck o_o (of course we had to do this between 4-8 people but it was very physically exhausting)

Durians grow just like another fruit up on a tall tree.. the fruit has thorns from the beginning and its very cute.. but you dont pick the fruit from the tree.. you wait the fruit to fall down to the ground.. only ripe fruits falls down.. but you have to be fast as many animals like the durians such as hogs foxes squirrels bears.. in the village people usually build huts in the farm to wait for the durians

Nicole is an awesome presenter with a great screen personality. Great channel. Definitely my favorite fruit and oranges are a significant part of California history. Real Estate has largely pushed out agriculture in Los Angeles County.

These series are beautiful and informative, I am mesmerized by the unpredictability of the result of planting an orange seed (I did saw the Apples video but still crazy). I also mesmerized by how nice the presenter is, she seems smart communicative and her enthusiasms and happiness is contagious, one spends the video smiling. You learn in the best possible way. The fact that she is able to communicate in Spanish helps a lot in some of the videos. The videos are masterfully crafted so my admiration goes for the whole team. Keep them coming.

In South Louisiana, we had a Satsumas tree, which the fruit would be green, maybe with a few specks of orange, but a cold snap hits them, they were ready then. Sweet and tasty. Beats anything one finds in grocery stores.

LagiNaLangAko23 hi ma'am/sir, thank you for your feedback and comment. Anyway, i have already considered your concerns prior to posting my ads. Our organic fertilizers have been so far sky rocketing demands in the market due to our advocacy and the effectiveness of our products. Due to our advocacy, we already started opening centers all over asia and other parts of the world. We are targeting those farmers and growers who have the same advocacy like ours. We are not into how much we earn neither how expensive nor cheap these products are.

in indonesia oranges are called "jeruk". we eat various types of oranges, but the green ones are more popular, so in first grade when my english teacher said that the common english word for "jeruk" is "orange", i started having existential crisis.

The sunburst of colour of ripening oranges under beautiful blue skies, their shiny green leaves contrasting with the white of the first, shy flowers.... What a paradise.
