I own Ani, Fan Your Flames, Sultan Vetiver, Wulong Cha and Hacivat from Nishane. Recently sampled B-612 and Suede et Safran...B-612 is a really nice barbershop frag (similar to Rive Gauche) and will be a full bottle pick up for me soon. Performance on all of these is nuclear and prices on discounters are really good.
@@RichMitch I actually do...Hacivat is probably my last fav of the ones I have. The Suede one is similar to Tuscan Leather. I recently tried Shems as well...very nice aromatic leathery fragrance but even on discounters it's close to $400 CAN for 50ml. BTW I recently tried Patchouli Magnetik from Crivelli and need to give it another couple wearings but so for not really working for me
@@mikev880 Try Noir patchouli by Histoires DP. I think it's the best patchouli on the market, but the duck thinks it's too powdery. Would love to hear your opinion
Have and love Wulong cha. Refreshing for the spring and summer. I have a sample of the patchouli and remember it was pretty good, but my tastes have changed, so don’t know if I’d still like it. I had the original colognise, but the jasmine was overpowering and I sold it. I paid $90 and sold it for $90, so I can’t complain.
It's always good to be able to get your money back on a fragrance. The tea isn't coming out on the wulong cha yet. I love thicc, syrupy patchouli fragrances... this one is doing it for me, I can't tell a lie
MDCI I’ve heard great things about (have samples in my closet that I haven’t gotten to yet). Nishane I’ve yet to try (heard some squirly stuff, but rumors shouldn’t be used to make decisions). VERY curious about your opinions, as they’re trusted. Thank you for this video, friend!
ps - you know, there’ve been times patchouli has knocked me over with gorgeousness (usually resinous, plush, green); but lots of times it’s just fine, if that makes sense. Best wishes for health & happiness from our house to yours!!! 🙏❤️
MDCI have some beauties, Un Coeur en Mai is my favourite, beautiful Galbanum, lily and blackcurrant. La Belle Helene has an amazing pear note, and peche cardinal is so pretty and the peach note is done expertly.
@@RachelKNg you are very kind, I hope you and your family are doing well too! 🫂 I've heard contrasting reports about nishane too. The opening and mid of Sultan Vetiver is amazing but the dry down is one long, droning amberwood note that just ruins the fragrance imo. These don't have that issue, they're made better. Different perfumer possibly? Patchouli can go lots of ways, when it's done right, it's incredible
i like pachuli fragrances as well, although not tried that pachuli khoza, sounds interesting will try get a sample too, - i have worn hacivat in summer from nishane sometimes, my fav pachuli is monseur from malle
@@RichMitch i got a question rich - i lost cap from my nasomatto fragrance, i'm just wondering what you suggest when you lose the cap, is there something you suggest to cover the sprayer with? or is it nothing to worry about leaving the sprayer uncovered? cheers
Great to hear your thoughts on those Rich. I picked up Nishane B-612 earlier this week. Got it from a reputable seller. Nice frag, but extremely disappointed with the performance on that one. Maybe it needs some air in the bottle, I don’t know. But still none the less I expected more given the price point! There! Rant over!
Nishane Ani is the only fragrance I had to scrub off my skin. It was awful for me. I am extremely open minded with perfume and try to see the beauty in different things but that sour (not very realistic smelling) lemon with sweet vanilla made me feel sick, in the stomach and throat. I had a genuinely bad experience with it sadly. I know it is much loved though, so I am aware it's just my taste. But boy was it awful for me.
@@RichMitch civet and dark resin bomb with castoreum lurking in the back. Very opulent, cozy and smooth. Civet note is similar to how it is in the heart of Kouros but not urinous!
@@RichMitch it is. I'm in love with it recently. It also has a slight piney foresty rugged vibe to it lurking in there, probably from one of the resinous notes, which slightly takes it back to the 80s era

I love that opening to Wulong Cha - I got mostly citruses too, but agree the tea could be more robust. Hope you are feeling better Rich!
No tea appeared on me, very citrus rind though!
I'm getting there, cheers 🫂

Oh dear! B-612 sounds like a road in Britain lol.
Stick with it for a while, see what happens
7:06 are you talking about a syrupy nauseating thick grapefruit like in Tom Ford Grey Vetiver? I personally do not like that type of grapefruit
Nah it's more like a stale fruit, dry and crappy quality

All Nishanes are big do to them being extraits. If you don't wanna go you then you have to limit yourself to 1 or 2 sprays and that'll last 12+ hours.
