Thanks for sharing. This is my first year growing figs. My brown turkey is already ripening. I didn't realize it until I saw a few overripw ones had fallen down. I harvested 4 so far, and they are delicious. I'm in GA zone 8b.
Mine is having its second spring in Louisiana, very bushy, but I see no fruits yet. I planted a cutting from it and four Celeste trees in early March. My yard only gets about 5 1/2 hours full sun and now I`m hearing my figs may never make fruit unless they get more. I can`t stand pine trees! And they`re too close to power lines to cut.
Oh wow. I’m not too familiar with growing from a cutting. My thumb isn’t that green. Lol maybe yours will adjust? Mine gets sun most of the day. Maybe about 6 or so hours? I hope yours produces for you. 😍
@@SFD-Horses Just take any stems you prune and stick 6 or 8 inch stems halfway in potting soil and keep it watered. You can use a plastic drinking cup and put a plastic bag over it for a week or two to hold the moisture in. If you do it indoors keep a full spectrum light above them. A 10w one will work. If you can get them to grow a lot of leaves inside in winter before transplanting them in spring they`ll really grow fast. Tomatoes, peppers, ground cherries...even cucumbers can be reproduced with cuttings.

Oh wow! Ours are lacking water so they are still small… not thinking we will get much this year. Enjoy yours! What a special treat
The strangest thing is I've never seen Fig before lol but they look delicious
They have the most amazingly unique flavor. There are quite a few I'm picking every day now. :)

@@SFD-Horses My aunt used to root fig tree cuttings in a jar of water by the kitchen window.
